Lush Pumpkin

Spet je tukaj tisti čas, ko preživim vedno več časa v banji in ko se naslajam nad Lushevimi kopalnimi bombicami. Poleg svežih mask za obraz so kopalne bombice drugi najboljši produkt od Lusha v mojem mnenju. Prav tako pa je v Lushu že na voljo omejena kolekcija za noč čarovnic iz katere sem si izbrala tole kopalno bombico v obliki buče.

Again it’s that time of the year when I spend most of my time in the bathtub and when I’m drooling over the Lush bath bombs. In addition to the fresh face masks, the bath bombs are the second best product from Lush in my opinion. You can already buy the Halloween collection in Lush stores and the Pumpkin bath bomb is the product I choose from it. 

Kopalna bombica je torej oranžne barve iz izgleda kot izrezljana buča za veliko noč. Enostavno a zelo primerno in luštno za to kolekcijo. Bombica diši že suha izredno močno, najbolj voham citruse in vanilijo. Ko pa sem bombico vrgla v vodo pa je vonj postal še močnejši in kopalnica je kaj hitro zadišala. Lush sicer trdi, da bombica diši po bučni piti vendar pa se mi zdi, da se cimet premalo voha, da bi to potrdila. Če bi bilo več cimeta in malo manj citrusov bi se prej strinjala s tem.

The bath bomb is orange and it look like a carved out pumpkin for Halloween. Simple but very appropriate and cute for this collection. The bomb has a strong scent even when dry, I smell citruses and vanilla. When I threw the bath bomb in the water the scent only got stronger and the scent spread through the bathroom. Lush claims that the bomb smells like pumpkin pie but I think that there’s not enough cinnamon to confirm that. If there would be more cinnamon and a little less citruses then I would agree quicker. 

To nikakor ne pomeni, da mi vonj ni všeč. Vse kar diši toplo s pridihom citrusov mi je všeč in še bolj všeč mi je, ko je vonj močan in ostane na koži še nekaj časa po kopanju. Bombica obarva vodo oranžno, vendar pa je voda še vedno prosojna. Video Pumpkin kopalne bombice pa lahko vidite v akciji spodaj.

This in no way means that I don’t like the scent. Everything that smells warm with a hint of citrus I like and I like it even more when the scent is strong and stays on the skin for some time after bathing. The bomb colors the water orange but the water is still transparent. You can watch the Pumpkin bath bomb in action down below. 

Sestavine: natrijev bikarbonat, citronska kislina, pimentovo olje, absolut vanilije, olje cimetovih listov, alfa izometil ionon, cinamal, citral, eugenol, geraniol, limonene, barvilo 15510, barvilo 45350.

Kar sem najbolj pogrešala je to, da ni nič priplavalo na površje iz bombice. Ni bilo nobenih presenečenj, kar sem načeloma iz bombice za veliko noč celo pričakovala. Kože mi ni izsušila, saj vsebuje tudi kar nekaj olj, kar je vedno plus. Vonj se je obdržal na koži še par ur. Za kopalno bombico boste odšteli 5,95€.

What I mostly missed was the fact that nothing came out of the bomb while fizzing. There weren’t any surprises, which were expected from a Halloween collection bath bomb. It didn’t dry out my skin because it does contain some oils which is always a plus. The scent stayed on the skin for a few hours. You will pay 5,95€ for the bath bomb.

Grandstand make-up look

Kot vedno sem vam tudi danes pripravila make-up izgled z uporabo senčila, ki sem ga ocenila v prejšnji objavi in sicer je govora o Makeup Geek Grandstand “foiled” senčilu. Spet sem se odločila za malo bolj dramatičen izgled in upam, da vam bo všeč.

As always I have prepared a make-up look using the eyeshadow that I reviewed in the previous post and the shadow I’m talking about is Makeup Geek’s Grandstand foiled eyeshadow. Again I have decided to do a more dramatic look and I hope you’ll like it.

Uporabila sem torej senčilo Grandstand, ampak ker tega izgleda nisem mogla doseči samo z enim senčilom sem si pomagala še z drugimi Makeup Geek senčili in sicer Shimma Shimma, Latte in Americano. Veko sem pripravila z bazo za senčila, ki sem jo fiksirala z bež senčilom. Nato sem uporabila Latte (1.), ki je služilo kot prehodna barva. Senčila nisem nanesla previsoko ampak v gubo očesa in malenkost nad gubo s čopičem za blendanje. To sem ponovila dvakrat. Nadaljevala sem z najtemnejšim senčilom, Americano (2.) katero sem z manjšim čopičem nanesla na zunanjo četrtino, notranjo četrtino očesa in oba dela previdno povezala, ne da bi šla nad očesno gubo. To sem ponavljala dokler ni bilo dovolj temno.

So I used the eyeshadow Grandstand but because I couldn’t achieve this look with just one eyeshadow I helped myself with some other Makeup Geek eyeshadows, namely Shimma Shimma, Latte and Americano. I prepared the eyelid with an eyeshadow base that I set with a beige eyeshadow. Then I used Latte (1.) that served as a transitional color. I didn’t apply the eyeshadow too high but just in the eye crease and a tiny bit over it with a blending brush. I repeated this twice. I then continued with the darkest eyeshadow, Americano (2.) which I applied with a smaller brush in the outer and inner quarter of the lid and carefully linked them together by not going above the crease. I repeated this until it was dark enough.

Sledilo je senčilo Grandstand (3.) katero sem s ploščatim čopičem nanesla na sredino veke. Pazila sem, da nisem šla preveč v kotičke očesa a da sem senčilo vseeno povezala s temno rjavim. Senčilo sem prav tako nanesla še enkrat čez s prstom. Da sem senčili povezala sem z manjšim čopičem in Americano (2.) senčilom šla narahlo čez robe Grandstand senčila, da je bilo vse povezano in da nismo imeli nobenega ostrega prehoda. Na spodnjo veko sem, čisto ob rob trepalnic, nanesla Americano (2.), razmazala oziroma zmehčala vse skupaj z Latte (1.) senčilom in na sredino nanesla malenkost Grandstand (3.) senčila.

Next was Grandstand  (3.) which I applied with a flat brush to the center of the eyelid. I was careful not to go too close to the corners of my eye but still to blend it together with the dark brown eyeshadow. I applied the eyeshadow with my finger as well. To blend the eyeshadows even more I took a smaller blending brush and Americano (2.) shadow and lightly brushed over the edge of the Grandstand shadow. On my lower lid I put Americano (2.) right under my eyelashes and blended it together with Latte (1.) and applied a bit of Grandstand (3.) eyeshadow in the middle.

Za zaključek sem pod obrv in v kotičke očesa nanesla Shimma Shimma (4.) senčilo. Ker sem želela vse skupaj še malenkost poglobiti sem s tankim čopičem nanesla gel liner in naredila tanko,ravno črto ob rob trepalnic, na notranji rob spodnje veke pa Urban Decay črno barvico za oči.

To finish it off I put some Shimma Shimma (4.) under my eyebrows and in my inner corners. Because I wanted to deepen everything even more I applied gel liner with a thin brush and made a thin, straight line at the edge of the eyelashes and applied some black eye kohl from Urban Decay on my waterline.

Ker so bile oči spet središče dogajanja, sem na obraz nanesla bolj nežne rožnate odtenke. Za piko na i bi lahko uporabila še umetne trepalnice a ker jih redko uporabljam, sem se odločila proti. Seznam ostalih izdelkov, ki sem jih uporabila je spodaj. Vam je bil ta izgled všeč?

Because the eyes were in the center again I applied more soft rosey shades to my face. I could have applied false lashes to top it off but because I rarely use them I decided not to. List of the other products I used is down below. Did you like this look?

Makeup Geek: Grandstand

Čeprav Makeup Geek senčila ocenjujem ponavadi v paru, pa je to edino “foiled” senčilo, ki ga imam in zato ga ocenjujem posamezno, saj je tudi cena višja, kot pri navadnih Makeup Geek senčilih.

Although I usually review Makeup Geek eyeshadows in pairs, this is the only foiled eyeshadow that I have so I’m reviewing it by itself and also the price is higher than usual with the “normal” Makeup Geek eyeshadows.

Makeup Geek trdi, da so njihova “foiled” senčila nekaj posebnega, saj so hibrid med kremnimi senčili in senčili v prahu/kamnu. Ponujajo neverjetno pigmentacijo v kombinaciji s kovinskim finišem. Senčilo je res izredno kremasto a hkrati ni kremno. Že na otip je drugačno. Meni je ta formula res odlična in vredna svoje cene.

Makeup Geek claims that their foiled eyeshadows are something special because they are a hybrid between cream and powder eyeshadows. They give incredible pigmentation in combination with a metallic finish. The eyeshadow is really very creamy but not a cream. Even at the touch it’s different. This formula is really excellent and worth the price in my opinion.

Samo senčilo Grandstand je srednje rožnato zlato z malenkost sivkasto-vijoličnega podtona in kovinskim finišem seveda. Sama bi senčilo opisala kot rožnato zlato. Senčilo torej je izredno pigmentirano, najboljše se nanaša s ploščatim čopičem ali celo prstom in se tudi lepo razmazuje. Senčilo je obstojno cel dan in se kljub kremasti teksturi ne poseda v gubo veke (vedno uporabljam bazo za senčila). Sama ga uporabljam za večerne izglede in ponavadi čez celo veko ali na sredini veke za nekaj več.

The eyeshadow Grandstand is a medium rose gold with a hint of taupe undertones and of course a foiled finish. I would describe the color as rose gold. The eyeshadow is extremely pigmented and applies best with a flat brush or even with a finger and also blends nicely. It lasts all day and doesn’t set in the crease although it’s so creamy (I always use an eyeshadow base). I use it mostly for evening looks and usually over the whole eyelid or on the center of the lid for something more.

Tako kot ostala, tudi to senčilo ni v svoji embalaži, ampak boste potrebovale magnetno paleto, za hranjenje. Cena enega senčila je 10€ na Beauty Bay strani, kjer sem ga tudi sama kupila. Makeup Geek je pripravil nova senčila, ki so že na voljo v tujini, tokrat tudi ta s “foiled” finišem. Se že veselim novega nakupa. 🙂  Prav tako ne pozabite, da vas v petek čaka make-up izgled z uporabo tega senčila.

Like the other ones, this eyeshadow doesn’t come in its own packaging so you’ll need a magnet palette to store them in. The price of one eyeshadow is 10€ on the Beauty Bay site where I bought it. Makeup Geek has developed new eyeshadows that are already available abroad, this time also foiled eyeshadows. I look forward to purchasing some new shades. 🙂 Also don’t forget that there will be a makeup look on Friday with this eyeshadow.

EOS Lip balm

To je spet eden takšnih izdelkov, ki sem si ga želela zelo dolgo vendar pa si ga nisem nikoli kupila, dokler ga nisem zagledala v drogeriji v Sloveniji. Seveda sem takoj zagrabila priložnost, da ga preizkusim. Če pa me spremljate že dalj časa pa tudi veste, da sem obsedena z balzami za utnice. 🙂

This is again one of those products I wanted for a long time but never bought it until I saw it in a drugstore in Slovenia. Of course I took that chance to try it out. If you follow me for a longer time then you also know that I’m obsessed with lip balms. 🙂

Embalaža je drugačna, kot smo jih vajeni pri balzamih. Balzam ni v stiku, ampak je v plastičnem jajčku. Odpira se enostavno in tudi tesni dobro. Embalaža je mat in tudi na otip je prijetna ter ne drsi v rokah. Sam balzam je v obliki polovice jajčka. Nanos je enostaven, kljub drugačni obliki. Jajčka je seveda bolj nepraktična kot tipičen stik, saj zavzame malo več prostora a če uporabljete torbico vas to ne bo motilo. Sama balzama ne nosim s seboj, ampak ga uporabljam v glavnem doma.

The packaging is different then what we’re used to with lip balms. The balm is not in a stick but in a plastic egg. It opens easily and closes good. The packaging is matte and nice to the touch as it isn’t slippery in the hands. The balm itself is shaped like half of an egg. The application is easy despite the different shape. The egg is of course more impractical then a typical stick because it takes up more space but if you use a handbag the this will not bother you. I myself don’t carry the balm with me because I use it at home.

Sweet Mint

EOS (Evolution of Smooth) trdi, da so njihovi balzami za ustnice 95% organski, 100% naravni, brez vazelina in parabenov. Vsebujejo vitamin E, karitejevo maslo in jojobino olje, ki poskrbijo za mehke, navlažene in gladke ustnice. Sestavine so res odlične.

EOS (Evolution of Smooth) claims that their lip balms are 95% organic, 100% natural, paraben and petrolatum free. They contain vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba oil that keep your lips soft, moisturized and smooth. The ingredients are really excellent.

Ker je pri nas na voljo kar nekaj različic, sem se odločila poskusiti sladko meto (Sweet Mint) s katero se mi je zdelo, da ne morem zgrešiti. In res je bilo tako. Balzam je v mint embalaži in tudi nasplošno je barva embalaže, jajčka, odvisna od vonja/okusa balzama. Balzam zaradi mete na začetku ustnice rahlo hladi, čez čas pa se le-ta razdiši in ostanejo le negovane ustnice. Ker sem iskreno navdušena nad balzamom sem v Avstriji (izbira tam je namreč večja) kupila še balzam z okusom melone (Honeysuckle Honeydew), ki diši res lepo po meloni. Balzam je lepo mazljiv in tudi prijeten na ustnicah. Na ustnicah se obdrži kar nekaj časa, seveda je vse odvisno od tega koliko pijete in jeste.

Because there are a few different versions in our stores I decided to try Sweet Mint because I felt I can’t go wrong with that one. And so it was. The balm is in a mint packaging and generally the color of the packaging, egg, depends on the scent/flavor of the balm.  The balm cools the lips slightly in the beginning because of the mint but after a while it’s feeling decreases and you’re left with nourished lips. Because I’m honestly impressed with the balm I bought another one in Austria (the choice there is bigger) with the melon flavor (Honeysuckle Honeydew) that smells really nice and like melon. The balm is nicely spreadable and also really pleasant on the lips. It stays quite some time on the lips but that depends on how much you eat and drink.

Odkar sem kupila tale balzam drugega niti pogledala nisem in če bo tudi pozimi tako uspešno negoval moje ustnice se zna zgoditi, da bo prehitel mojega trenutno najljubšega od Nuxe-a. :O Za balzam boste plačali okoli 6€ za 7g, kupite pa ga lahko v kateremkoli Mullerju ali D&M-u. V Avstriji v Douglasu boste našli malo večjo izbiro okusov, prav tako imajo kreme za roke in telo. Jaz balzam priporočam!

Since I bought this lip balm I haven’t even looked at another one and if it’s going to successfully nourish my lips in the winter time as well then it’s possible that it will substitute my current favorite from Nuxe. You will pay around 6€ for 7g and you can buy it in any Muller or D&M. You will find a bit bigger choice of flavors in Austria in Douglas and they also have hand and body lotions as well. I recommend the lip balm!

OGX: Coconut Water weightless hydration oil

Ponavadi, ko kupim kakšen izdelek impulzivno, nimam sreče in izdelek v veliki večini ni dober. Sedaj pa sem že parkrat imela srečo in nazadnje, ko sem bila v drogeriji (takrat sem tudi kupila L.O.V glos, ki je trenutno moj najljubši – ocena tukaj) sem slučajno zagledala tole. Ker rada poskrbim za svoje lase in ker mi kokos zelo lepo diši, kokosovo olje pa je dobro za lase, sem se odločila poskusiti.

Usually when I buy a product impulsively I don’t have luck with it and it’s usually not good. But lately I’ve been having luck and the last time I visited the drugstore (that’s also when I bought the L.O.V gloss, that is currently my favorite – review here) I accidentally saw this. Because I like to take care of my hair and because I like the scent of coconut, coconut oil is also good for your hair, I decided to try it out.

Kokosova voda je pakirana v prozorno plastično embalažo s špricalko. Všeč mi je, da je prozorna, da vidim koliko produkta še imam. Špricalka je zelo dobra saj prši izredno fino in tako lepo prekrije lase. Sama kokosova voda je brezbarvna in seveda diši po kokosu. Sam vonj je precej umeten in močan, tako da če vam kokos ne diši, vam tole odsvetujem. Vonj se radiši po par urah, jaz ga drugi dan več sploh ne zaznam. Ker voda vsebuje kokosovo olje deluje kot suho olje, saj se hitro vpije, pusti pa lep lesk na laseh.

The coconut water is packaged in a transparent plastic packaging with a spray. I like that it’s transparent so I can see how much product I have left. The spray works really well because it sprays the water very fine and it coats the hair nicely. The coconut water is colorless and of course it smells like coconut. The scent itself is pretty artificial and strong so if you don’t like the scent of coconut I don’t recommend this to you. The scent fades after a few hours, I don’t smell it the next day at all. Since the water contains coconut oil it acts like dry oil because it absorbs quickly but leaves a nice shine on the hair.

Organix trdi, da bi naj voda vaše lase navlažila in jim dala lesk s pomočjo kokosove vode, elektrolitov in kančkom kokosovega olja. Kokosova voda in olje sta nekje na sredini med sestavinami kar ni tako slabo. Sama lase umijem, jih posušim malenkost v brisači in po tem, ko jih razčešem jih pošpricam s produktom. Produkt nanesem le na konice oziroma na spodnji del las in lase nato spet razčešem, da ga še bolje razporedim po laseh.

Organix claims that the water is supposed to hydrate the hair and give it shine with the help of coconut water, electrolytes and a hint of coconut oil. The coconut water and oil are somewhere in the middle of the ingredients which is not bad at all. I wash my hair, towel dry it and after combing it I spray the hair with the product. I apply the product on my hair ends only and then comb my hair again to spread it even better.

Ker so moje konice izredno suhe in uničene in tudi izgledajo suhe ter so brez leska, lahko rečem, da tale produkt res naredi moje lase, konice, sijoče in zdrave pri tem pa las ne obteži ali jih naredi mastne. Lasje so sijoči do naslednjega umivanja. Jaz sem s produktom zadovoljna in predvidevam, da ga bom še kupila. Kupila sem ga v Mullerju in za  118ml sem odštela zanj okoli 7€.

Because my hair ends are extremely dry and damaged and they also look really dry and dull I can say that this product does make my hair, my hair ends, shiny and healthy without weighing my hair or making it greasy. The hair stays shiny until the next wash. I’m happy with the product and I assume that I’ll buy it again. I bought it in Muller and paid around 7€ for 118ml.
