Toxic make-up look

Ne samo, da slavimo 1. obletnico bloga in da je to zadnja objava to leto, prav tako je to 100. objava. Ponosna sem, da sem uspela v enem letu objaviti 100 objav, takšnih in drugačnih, še bolj vesela pa sem, da sem imela več obiska, kot sem si kdajkoli predstavljala, da ga bom imela. Zato se želim tudi zahvaliti vsem, ki ste kdaj slučajno ali namerno pokukali na moj blog, kaj pokomentirali in se prijavili v mojo bazo rednih obiskovalcev.

Not only that we’re celebrating the 1st anniversary of the blog and that this is the last post in this year it’s also the 100th post. I’m proud to have succeeded to post 100 different posts in a year, I’m even happier that I had more traffic than I ever imagined that I would ever have. Therefore I want to thank everyone that accidentally or intentionally stopped at my blog, commented or subscribed.

Zadnja objava je tako makeup izgled z uporabo Makeup Geek senčila, ki sem ga v zadnji objavi ocenila in sicer je to Toxic, prav tako pa sem ustvarila izgled, ki je primeren tudi za zadnji večer v letu, za silvestrovo. A nikar ne skrbite, saj je izgled izredno enostavno poustvariti, saj uporabim samo 3 senčila.

The last post is a make-up look using the Makeup Geek eyeshadow that I reviewed in my last post namely Toxic and I also created a look that is suitable for the New Year’s Eve. But don’t worry because this look is very easy to recreate because I only used 3 eyeshadows.

Začela sem z bazo za veke in bež senčilom s katerim sem fiksirala bazo. Nato sledi prvo Makeup Geek senčilo in sicer Unexpected (1.), katero nanesem kot prehodno barvo, torej v gubo veke in ga zblendam s širšim čopičem malenkost nad gubo in tudi pod gubo. To ponovim dvakrat, tako da je senčilo enakomerno nanešeno. Potem nadaljujem z Vintage (2.) senčilom, katero nanesem na celo veko, do očesne gube. Senčilo nanašam, dokler ni enakomerno nanešeno. S prvim čopičem grem brez dodatnega produkta čez gubo veke, da senčili združim.

I started with an eyeshadow base and a beige eyeshadow to set the base. Then I used the first Makeup Geek eyeshadow, Latte (1.) that I apply as a transitional color in the eye crease and blend it with a wider blending brush a bit above and under the crease. I repeat this twice so the eyeshadow is evenly applied. Then I continue with Vintage (2.) eyeshadow that I apply all over the lid, up to the eye crease. I apply the eyeshadow until it’s not evenly applied. I go over the eye crease with the first brush and no additional product to blend the eyeshadows together.

Nato sledi Toxic (3.) katero sem s prstom nanesla čez Vintage, torej čez celo veko. Senčilo narahlo tapkam po veki in to ponavaljam, dokler ni senčilo lepo nanešeno čez celo veko. Z manjšim, ožjim, čopičem za blendanje zajamem malo Vintage senčila in ga nanesem pod gubo ter v zunanji kotiček očesa, da povežem obe senčili. Za zaključek sem narisala še tanko črno črto ob rob trepalnic ter nanesla maskaro. Na spodnjo veko, čisto ob rob trepalnic sem nanesla Vintage (2.) in šla čez z Unexpected (1.) senčilom, da sem robove zabrisala, na notranji rob veke sem nanesla črno barvico ter zaključila z maskaro.

Next is Toxic (3.) that I apply with my finger all over Vintage across the whole lid. I tap the eyeshadow lightly on the eyelid and repeat until the eyeshadow is evenly applied all over the lid. With a smaller, more narrow blending brush I take a little Vintage and apply it under my eye crease and in the outer corner of the eye to blend the both eyeshadows. To finish it off I drew a thin black line at the edge of the eyelashes and applied mascara. On my lower eyelid right under the eyelashes I applied Vintage (2.) and went over with Unexpected (1.) to blend the edges, put some black eye kohl on my waterline and concluded with mascara.

V notranji kotiček očesa in pod obrv pa sem nanesla kar osvetljevalec katerega sem uporabila na obrazu in sicer MAC Tutu iz božične kolekcije (Sweet Peach). Ker je to silvestrski izgled sem na obraz sicer nanesla bolj nežne rožnate odtenke, malce več osvetljevalca kot ponavadi, na ustnice pa drzno temno šminko in sicer Jouer Clove, ki je izredno udobna, lahko pa nanesete tudi kakšno bež šminko ali nežen rožnati glos. Seznam ostalih izdelkov, ki sem jih uporabila je spodaj.

In my inner eye corner and under my eyebrows I applied the highlighter I used on my face, MAC Tutu from the Christmas collection (Sweet Peach). Because this is a New Year’s Eve look I applied more subtle pink shades to the face, a bit more highlighter than usual and a more bold dark lipstick Jouer Clove, that is extremely comfortable, but you can also apply any nude lipstick or a subtle pink gloss. MAC: Haute & Naugthy lash mascara

To maskaro sem dobila od sestre za rojstni dan (hvala sis :*) in jo na začetku nisem uporabljala, ker sem hotela porabiti tisto, ki je bila takrat v uporabi. Mučilo me je, da bi jo poskusila, saj sem mislila, da ima maskara dve krtački, eno v drugi. :O Da, eno v drugi. Od MAC-a sem prej uporabljala Zoom Lash maskaro, ki mi je vedno bila všeč, ampak ker se takrat še ni dalo kupiti MAC-a v Grazu, se mi je ni dalo naročevati na Ebayu.

I got this mascara from my sister for my birthday (thanks sis :*) and in the beginning I didn’t use it, because I wanted to use the one that was then in use. It really bothered me to try it out, because I thought it had two brushes, one in the other. :O Yes, one in the other. I used Zoom Lash mascara from MAC before and I always liked it, but you couldn’t buy MAC in Graz then and I wasn’t into ordering it on Ebay.

Embalaža je črna z belim napisom, pokrov pa je pink ter vijoličen z bleščicami. Meni je všeč. Maskara je črna in ima v bistvu eno krtačko. Krtačka ni gumijasta (teh načeloma ne maram), ampak je tipična z daljšimi ščetinami. MAC navaja, da ima maskara sistem dvojnega brisanja in tako ponuja definirane trepalnice ali trepalnice polne volumna. Torej odvisno kako jo uporabimo. Prilagam slike za lažje razumevanje.

The packaging is black with white lettering, the lid is pink and purple with glitter. I like it. The mascara is black and it actually has only one brush. The brush is not rubbery (I don’t like those), but it’s typical with longer bristles. MAC states that this mascara, with a dual-wiper system, offers defined or voluminous lashes. So it depends on how we use it. I’m adding pictures for easier understanding.

Maskara je precej tekoča, na krtački jo je tudi precej, saj ko potegnemo krtačko skozi paličico, se le-ta obriše ob rob paličice in se tam tudi nabere največ produkta. Maskara se ne drobi ali odpada, trepalnice lepo poudari. Ker je bolj mokra se trepalnice rade zlepijo skupaj, zato jaz vedno naknadno uporabim “prvo krtačko”, ki nima skoraj nič produkta na sebi, in grem tako še enkrat čez trepalnice, da jih razčešem. Opazila sem, da maskara da veliko več volumna kot dolžine, tako da če imate kratke trepalnice, je mogoče ne bi priporočala. Sama imam precej dolge, tako da me to ne moti.

The mascara it quite liquid, there’s a lot of product on the brush, because when we pull the brush through the stick, the mascara wipes itself on the edges of the stick and most of the product accumulates there. The mascara doesn’t crumble or flake, it emphasizes the lashes nicely. Because it is more moist it tends to clump the lashes, so I always use the “first brush” after, which has almost no product on it, and go over the lashes one more time to comb them. I noticed that the mascara gives more volume than length, so if you have shorter lashes I wouldn’t recommend it. I have pretty long lashes so I don’t mind.

Meni je maskara všeč, ampak ne vem če bi si jo še kupila kdaj, saj vseeno rada poskusim kaj novega. Kupite jo lahko v Douglasu v Avstriji, za njo pa boste odšteli 23,95€ za 9g. Sliko maskare na trepalnicah bom objavila tekom tedna.

I like the mascara, but I don’t know if I would buy it again, because I always like to try out new things. You can buy it in Douglas in Austria and you will pay 23,95€ for 9g. I will post the pictures of the mascara on my lashes during this week.

Stila Extreme Lash Primer and Mascara

Tole sem kupila slučajno na Beauty Bay-u, ko sem kupovala ene druge produkte in sem  naletela na tale set baze za trepalnice in maskaro za samo 9€. In še dobro da sem. 😀

I bought this by accident on Beauty Bay when I was buying some other products and I came across this set of a primer and mascara for only 9€. And it’s a good thing that I did. 😀

Naj začnem z embalažo. Čeprav sta produkta manjša in v setu, je embalaža identična “originalu”. Ta je mat zlata, z zlato pisavo in okraski. Super lepa je in zelo mi je všeč. Deluje zelo šik.

Let me start with the packaging. Although these products are smaller and in a set, the packaging is the same as the “original”. It’s matte gold with gold lettering and decoration.

Začnimo kar z bazo. Baza je rjavo obarvana in ne bela, kot večina produktov za isti namen. To je seveda plus, ker tudi če ne greste z maskaro čez vsako trepalnico se ne opazi, saj ne izstopa tako, kot bi bela baza. Stila trdi, da ima baza dve vrsti vlaken (okrogle in ravne) v kremasti formuli, ki se enostavno nanaša in daje polne in dolge trepalnice. In dejansko jih. Krtača je ožja s spiralnimi ščetinami. Baza se enostavno nanaša, trepalnice rahlo obarva rjavo, jim da polnost in dolžino. Uporablja se lahko s katero koli maskaro in tudi takrat deluje enako dobro. Jaz sem zelo zadovoljna in že planiram nakup. Moja baza ima 5ml kar je veliko, saj ima “original” baza 7,5ml in stane 24€. Kupila jo bom tukaj.

Let’s start with the primer. The primer is brown tinted and not white as the majority of the products for the same purpose. That’s a plus of course, because if you don’t coat every lash with the mascara it’s not as visible as the white one would be. Stila claims that the primer has two different types of fibers (spherical and straight) in a creamy formula that applies easily and gives full and long lashes. And it does. The brush is thinner with spiral bristles. The primer applies easily, tints the lashes slightly brown and gives them fullness and length. It can be used with any mascara and it works good as well. I’m really very satisfied and am planning to buy it. My primer has 5ml, which is a lot because the “original” primer has 7,5ml and costs 24€. I’ll buy it here.

Stila za maskaro trdi, da je iz mehkih in fleksibilnih voskov, ki daje trepalnicam volumen in dolžino brez sprijemanja. To ne drži popolnoma. Maskara da volumen in dolžino, ampak ker je bolj mokre konsistence se trepalnice rade zlepijo skupaj. Jaz sem šla s čisto krtačko čez, da sem jih razčesala. Krtača je v obliki peščene ure, kar mi tudi ne odgovarja, saj imam raje krtače, ki imajo enako dolge ščetine. Sama maskara drugače dobro opravi svoje delo, ampak moje najljubše (Ardeco All in One) nikakor ne prekaša, zato je ne bom več kupila. Stila prav tako trdi, da maskara pusti trepalnice mehke, plast za plastjo, kar je res. Opozoriti pa moram, da so v kombinaciji z bazo trepalnice rahlo trše, ampak še vedno bolj mehke, kot pri večini maskar. Maskara se ne drobi in je dolgo obstojna. Cena je 22,70€.

Stila claims that the mascara is made of soft and flexible waxes that give the lashes volume and length without clumping. This is not the case. The mascara does give volume and length but because it has a more wet consistency the lashes tend to stick/clump together. I went over with a clean brush to comb them. The brush has an hourglass shape that I don’t like, because I rather have a brush with all the bristles the same length. The mascara itself does a good job, but it does not top my favorite one (Artdeco All in One) so I won’t buy it again. Stila also claims that it leaves the lashes soft, layer after layer, which is true. I do have to point out that the combination of the primer and mascara does make the lashes a bit more stiff, but still softer then most of the mascaras. It doesn’t crumble and it’s long wearing. The price is 22,70€.

Če iščete dobro bazo za trepalnice pa ne veste kaj bi kupili, vam priporočam, da kupite to, saj je res dobra.

If you are looking for a good lash primer and don’t know what to buy I do recommend this one, because it’s really good.
