Kako čistim čopiče + GIVEAWAY

Velikokrat me sprašujejo kako čistim svoje čopiče za ličenje, zato sem se odločila na to temo napisati kar eno krajšo objavo. Kratko tudi zaradi tega, ker čiščenje čopičev ni nič posebnega ali zahtevnega. 🙂 Za lažje razumevanje pa sem posnela tudi kratek video v katerem lahko vidite kako jih sama čistim.

Often I’m asked how I clean my make-up brushes and that’s why I decided to write a short post about it. Short because there’s nothing special or complicated about cleaning brushes. 🙂 For better understanding I also made a short video that shows you how I clean them.

S čim čistim čopiče? Če je nekaj dobro za odstranjevanje ličil z mojega obraza, potem je tudi dobro za čiščenje mojih čopičev. Tako za čiščenje čopičev v veliki večini uporabljam Nuxe Reve de Miel gel za umivanje obraza, ki je nežen do mojih čopičev in jih dobro očisti. Ne dolgo nazaj pa sem se odločila poskusiti še z milom za čiščenje čopičev Barbara Hofmann, ki sem ga kupila v Mullerju in zanj odštela okoli 10€. Pred tem sem za čiščenje čopičev prav tako uporabljala katerokoli navadno trdo milo, gledala sem le, da je bilo za občutljivo kožo in neodišavljeno.

What do I use to clean my brushes? If something is good to clean the make-up from my face then it’s also good enough to clean my brushes. So for cleaning my brushes I mostly use my Nuxe Reve de Miel facial cleansing gel which is gentle to my brushes and also cleans them well. Not so long ago I decided to try a brush cleaning soap from Barbara Hofmann that I bought in Muller and paid around 10€. Before that I also used any regular solid soap that was for sensitive skin and fragrance free.

Za samo čiščenje čopičev sem prej uporabljala dlan, ampak ker se je število čopičev povečalo, moje dlani pa so kar občutljive, sem se odločila kupiti podlage za čiščenje. Eno je v obliki jajčka, ki se natakne na prste in ima precej bolj globoke brazde, drugo pa je malenkost večje, se lahko prisesa na umivalnik ali drži med prsti in ima bolj nežne brazde. Prvo zato uporabljam za čopiče za obraz, drugo pa za manjše čopiče.

I used to use my palm for cleaning the brushes but because the number of my brushes has increased and my hands are quite sensitive I decided to buy a widget for cleaning. One is shaped as an egg that I put on my fingers and has deeper creases, the other one is a bit larger and can be suctioned to the sink or you can hold it between your fingers and has more delicate creases. That’s why I use the first one for face brushes and the other one for smaller brushes.

Kadar umivam čopiče za obraz s katerimi uporabljam kremne oziroma tekoče izdelke uporabim vročo vodo iz pipe, saj gre tako hitreje. Sem pa pri tem toliko bolj pazljiva da vroča voda ne pride do lepila, ki drži ščetine skupaj, saj bi se stopilo in s tem bi tudi uničila čopič. Na koncu, ko je čopič čisti uporabim mlačno vodo in takrat ga obrnem navpično in previdno izperem milo med ščetinami. Kot vidite na posnetku sem s čopičem, ki ima sintetične ščetine (1. čopič) bolj “groba”, s tistimi z naravnimi oziroma mešanimi ščetinami (2. in 3. čopič) pa malo bolj previdna. Čopič milim dokler pena ni čista in na koncu ga vedno dobro umijem ter sem pozorna da se več nikjer ne peni.

When I’m cleaning face brushes that I use with cream or liquid products I use hot tap water because it’s faster this way. I’m a bit more careful when doing that so that the hot water doesn’t melt the adhesive that holds the bristles together because I would ruin the brush that way. In the end, when the brush is clean, I use lukewarm water and turn the brush vertically and gently wash the soap between the bristles. As you can see in the video I’m more “rough” with the brush with synthetic bristles (1. brush) and more careful with the brush with natural or mixed bristles (2. and 3. brush). I put soap on the brush until the foam isn’t clean and in the end I always clean it well and I’m careful that it’s not foaming anywhere.

Ko čopič operem ga tudi podrgnem po čisti brisači, da odstranim čim več vode iz njega. Ko vse čopiče očistim jih položim vodoravno na čisto brisačo in sama jih ponavadi položim na pralni stroj tako, da se ščetine ne dotikajo brisače in se tako tudi prej posušijo. Pustim jih čez noč in drugi dan so čopiči ponavadi suhi in pripravljeni na uporabo. Nikoli čopičev ne puščajte navpično postavljenih s ščetinami obrnjenimi navzgor. Če imate možnost ali imate stojalo za sušenje čopičev, jih vedno obrnite s ščetinami navdzol, da voda odteka iz čopiča.

When I wash the brush I also rub it on a clean towel to remove as much water from it. When I clean all the brushes I place them horizontally on a clean towel and I usually put them on a washing machine so that the bristles don’t touch the towel and they dry much faster. I let them dry overnight and the next day they are usually ready to use. Never leave the brushes vertically positioned with the bristles facing upwards. If you have the option or you have a rack for drying brushes, always position them with bristles facing downwards so the water drips from the brush.

To bi bilo vse kar se tiče čiščenja čopičev. Enostavno kajne? 🙂 Sama čistim čopiče za nanašanje tekočega pudra bolj pogosto (najmanj enkrat na mesec), ostale pa po potrebi. Ker bi rada, da tudi vi skrbite za svoje čopiče sem vam pripravila majhno NAGRADNO IGRO.

LA Splash: Smitten Liptint mousse – Charmed

Ker so tekoče šminke izredno popularne zadnje čase, sem komaj čakala, da tudi sama preizkusim eno iz LA Splash linije. Ocene na spletu so se mi zdele dobre, cena je bila sprejemljiva. LA Splash ima veliko različnih vrst tekočih šmink, vendar pa je formula pri vseh baje enaka. Sama imam še eno šminko iz druge linije in tudi sama lahko rečem, da je formula skoraj  enaka kot pri tej.

Because liquid lipsticks are extremely popular lately I couldn’t wait to try one myself from the LA Splash line. The reviews on the web seemed very good and the price was acceptable. LA Splash has a lot of different types of liquid lipsticks but the formula is supposed to be the same in all of them. I myself have a lipstick from another line and I can also say that the formula is pretty much the same as in this one.

LA Splash trdi, da šminka zacementira barvo na ustnicah za vodoodporni rezultat brez razmazovanja, prenašanja ali bledenja. Inovativna formula drsi na ustnicah brez truda in ustnic ne obteži. Začetna tekoča tekstura se takoj posuši na žametni mat odtenek. Embalaža je tipična za tekočo šminko ali glos, prozorna tuba z napisom v rožnati metalik barvi. Aplikator je tipična gobica, ki zajame dovolj produkta za cele ustnice. Odtenek Charmed, ki sem ga izbrala pa je zaprašeno rožnato kožni (nude) odtenek. Vonj je recej močen a se hitro razdiši.

LA Splash states that the lipstick seals the color on the lips for a waterproof, smudge-proof result that will not transfer or fade. Its innovative weightless formula glides on effortlessly over the lips with a feather-light feel. The initial liquid texture immediately dries to a velvet matte tint. The packaging is typical for a liquid lipstick or a gloss, a transparent tube with lettering in pink metallic color. The applicator is a typical doe-foot applicator that captures enough product for the whole lips. The shade I picked is Charmed, a dusty rose-nude color. The scent is pretty strong but doesn’t linger.

Sama ustnice na debelo namažem z balzamom, ostanke katerega pred nanosom popivnam s papirnatim robčkom. Formula je precej tekoča, kar omogoča res enostaven nanos. Šminka se popolnoma posuši po petih minutah. V času, ko se šminka suši, odsvetujem pritiskanje ustnic skupaj. Šminka se ne prenaša, ko je enkrat suha in je tudi prijetna na ustnicah. Pri svetlejših odtenkih se velikokrat na notranjem robu ustnic naredi suh rob, kar se je meni pri tej šminki zgodilo le enkrat. Tekočina ne vpliva na šminko, pri hrani pa je odvisno od tega kaj jeste in tudi kako jeste. Mastna hrana bo vplivala na šminko, ki bo postala lepljiva in se začela drobit. Pri meni je obstojna dobrih 6 ur, v primeru da ničesar ne jem. Zbledi relativno malo. Ustnice malenkost izsuši, kar je za pričakovati pri tekoči šminki, vendar pa nanos balzama po uporabi to hitro odpravi. Odstranim jo z micelarno vodico in gelom za odstranjevanje ličil.

I heavily apply lip balm on my lips, excess of which I dab off with a paper tissue before applying lipstick. The formula is pretty liquidy which allows an easy application. The lipstick dries completely after five minutes. While waiting for the lipstick to dry I advise against pressing your lips together. The lipstick does not transfer once it’s dry and is really comfortable on the lips. With lighter shades it usually happens that a crusty rim appears on the inner part of the lips which happened to me only once with this lipstick. Liquids do not affect the lipstick but with food it depends on what you eat and how you eat it. Fatty foods will affect the lipstick which will become tacky and will start to crumble. The lipstick lasts good 6 hours on me in case I don’t eat anything. It fades only slightly. It does dry out the lips a bit which is to be expected with liquid lipsticks but applying a lip balm after using it will eliminate that quickly. I remove it with a micellar water and make-up removing gel.

Šminka ne sodeluje dobro z drugimi produkti. Ne s črtali, šminkami, glosi ali balzami. Najboljše se obnese, če so ustnice navlažene a suhe pri nanosu. Če boste nanesli črtalo pod šminko, bo ta ostala rahlo lepljiva, se bo hitro začela drobiti in se bo prenašala. Če boste nanesli karkoli čez, bo šminka spet ostala rahlo lepljiva, ampak se ne bo drobila, prav tako ne bo tako dolgo obstojna. Kljub temu je meni izredno všeč, saj je res “lahka” in udobna na ustnicah (veliko bolj kot Stila Stay All Day šminke).

The lipstick doesn’t work well with other products. Not with lip liners, lipsticks, glosses or lip balms. It works best if the lips are moisturized but dry upon application. If you’ll apply a lip liner under the lipstick the lipstick will stay a bit tacky and will start to crumble and transfer. If you’ll apply anything over it again it will stay tacky but will not crumble and it’s not going to be that long wearing. I still like it a lot because it’s really “light” and comfortable on the lips (much more than Stilla Stay All Day lipsticks).

Naročila sem jo na Beauty Bay-u, kjer imate na voljo veliko različnih odtenkov, plačala pa sem 12,80€, kar se mi zdi OK za 3ml. Jaz bom sigurno še kupila kakšen odtenek, saj mi je formula izredno všeč, prav tako je nanos enostaven, barve pa so ob “pravilni” uporabi dobro obstojne.

I ordered it on Beauty Bay where you have a lot of different shades to choose from and paid 12,80€ which I think is OK for 3ml. I will definitely buy a few more shades because I really like the formula, the application is easy and the colors are long wearing with the “correct” use.

Too Faced: Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar

Dolgo sem razmišljala ali naj ocenim to paleto, ker ni novi produkt in marsikomu ne bo zanimiva, ker je ogromno ocen že na spletu, ampak ker je to hitro postala moja najljubša paleta, sem se odločila, da jo vseeno ocenim in delim svojo kratko oceno z vami.

I was thinking weather I should review this palette for some time now because it’s not a new product and many people wouldn’t find it interesting given the fact that there are a lot of reviews of it online already, but because it quickly became my favorite palette I decided to share my short review with you.

Paleta je pakirana v kartonasto škatlo z napisom spredaj ter kratkim opisom in seznamom senčil na zadnji strani. V škatli se prav tako skriva majhna zloženka s tremi primeri make-up izgledov. Sama paleta je v metalni embalaži v obliki čokoladne tablice ter rjave barve. Res čudovita embalaža, še posebej če imate radi čokolado. Še večje presenečenje je vonj in sicer paleta diši po vaniliji/čokoladi, kar je posledica tega, da senčila vsebujejo kakav v prahu. Res čudovito diši in tudi sama dajem paleti to v plus. V notranjosti se skriva manjše ogledalo in pa 16 čudovitih senčil.

The palette is packaged in a cardboard box with inscription on the front and a short description and a list of the eyeshadows on the back. There is also a small leaflet with three make-up looks hiding in the box. The palette itself is in a metal packaging formed as a brown chocolate bar. The packaging is gorgeous, especially if you like chocolate. An even bigger surprise is the smell, namely the palette smells like vanilla/chocolate which is due to the fact that the eyeshadows contain cocoa powder. It really smells great and for me that is a plus. The inside hides a small mirror and 16 beautiful eyeshadows.

Med senčili so tako mat, satenasta ter bleščičasta senčila, vse od kremnih odtenkov do karamelnih, rjavih in celo modro ter rožnato sta notri. Senčila so v veliki večini super pigmentirana ter ravno prav mehka in se lepo blendajo. Predvsem mat senčila pri dotiku s čopičem dvignejo malo prahu, kar pa se ponavadi dogaja pri dobrih mat senčilih. Edino senčilo, ki ni pigmentirano je Pink Sugar, ki da samo bleščice od sebe, ampak tudi to velikokrat uporabim v notrajnem kotičku očesa z vlažnim čopičem. Najljubši senčili sta mi Peanut Butter (uporabljam ga v gubi veke) ter Truffled (vedno ga uporabim v zunanjem kotičku za zatemnitev).

There are matte, satin and shimmery shadows ranging from creamy shades to caramel, browns and there are even a blue and a rosey shadow in there. The eyeshadows have mostly a great pigment and are soft enough and blend easily. Mostly the matte shades kick a little bit of powder up when you put the brush in which usually happens with good matte eyeshadows. The only shade that isn’t pigmented is Pink Sugar which is basically just glitter but I still use it often in the inner corner of the eye with a wet brush. My favorite eyeshadows are Peanut Butter (I use it in the crease) and Truffled (I always use it on the outer corner for deepening).

Meni paleta s to kombinacijo senčil ponuja veliko različnih opcij, tako od svetlih dnevnih do zadimljenih večernih izgledov. Odkar sem jo kupila potujem edino še s to paleto, ne glede na to kam grem. Sploh mi ni žal, da sem si jo kupila in ne znam si predstavljati življenja brez nje (res sem pretirano teatralna). Paleto priporočam predvsem tistim, ki imate radi rjava senčila. Paleto sem kupila v Sephori v Italiji in zanjo odštela 45€, se pa najde tudi na internetu v različnih spletnih trgovinah.

The palette with this combination of eyeshadows gives me a lot of different options, from bright daily to smokey night looks. Since I bought it it’s the only palette I travel with no matter where I go. I don’t regret buying it and I can’t imagine my life without it (I’m such a drama queen). I recommend the palette especially to those that like brown shades. I bought the palette in Sephora in Italy and paid 45€ for it but you can find it online in various online stores as well.

Bitten & Burlesque make-up look

Kot obljubljeno sem vam danes pripravila make-up izgled z uporabo Makeup Geek senčil Bitten in Burlesque, ki sem ju ocenila v prejšnji objavi. Prav tako sem vam izdala, da bom naredila zadimljen videz oči na moj način. To je prav tako moj prvi bolj dramatičen izgled, ki sem vam ga pripravila. Upam, da vam bo všeč.

As promised I prepared a make-up look for you today using Makeup Geek eyeshadows Bitten and Burlesque that I reviewed in the previous post. I also revealed that I would be doing a smokey eye look my way. This is also my first more dramatic look that I prepared for you. I hope you’ll like it.

Kot omenjeno sem uporabila senčili Bitten in Burlesque, ampak ker to seveda ni bilo dovolj, sem si pomagala tudi z drugimi Makeup Geek senčili. Najprej sem oko pripravila z bazo. Prvo senčilo, ki sem ga uporabila je bilo Latte, ki mi je služilo kot prehodna barva (1.), prav tako pa sem ga potegnila nižje, v gubo veke. To sem ponovila 2-3x. Nato sem nadaljevala z rahlo ožjim blending čopičem in nanesla Bitten v samo gubo veke (2.). Pazila sem, da nisem šla previsoko. Tudi to sem ponovila parkrat. Ko sta bili senčili lepo zblendani, razmazani, sem nadaljevala.

As mentioned I used the Bitten and Burlesque eyeshadows but because that  wasn’t enough I helped myself with other Makeup Geek shadows. First I prepared my eyelid with a base. The first eyeshadow I used was Latte that served as an transitional shade (1.) but I also pulled it lower in the eye crease. I repeated this step 2-3x. Then I continued with a more narrow blending brush and applied Bitten only in the crease (2.). I was careful not to go too high. I also repeated this a few times. When the eyeshadows were nicely blended I continued.

Ker sem si želela malo več dimenzije, sem v zunanji kotiček očesa (3.) s ploščatim čopičem nanesla Americano in ga s čopičem za blendanje razmazala. To sem ponovila dvakrat. Nadaljevala sem s ploščatim čopičem, s katerim sem nanesla Burlesque čez celo veko a le do očesne gube. S tanjšim čopičem za bledanje in z Bitten senčilom sem popravila prehod med senčili. Nanesla sem črni gel eyeliner za še bolj dramatičen izgled.

Because I wanted a little more dimension I applied Americano with a flat brush on my outer eye corner (3.) and blended it with a blending brush. I repeated this step twice. I continued with a flat brush that I used to apply Burlesque over my whole eyelid but only up to the crease. With a more narrow blending brush and Bitten eyeshadow I went over the crease one more time to blend it together. I applied black gel eyeliner for an even more dramatic look.

Na spodnjo veko sem ob trepalnicah nanesla Bitten in senčilo malo zblendala s senčilom Latte. Nanesla sem maskaro na spodnje in zgornje trepalnice. Da sem oko malo odprla sem v notranje kotičke nanesla pikico senčila Shimma Shimma in na notranji rob spodnje veke Stila barvico za oči v odtenku Topaz (bež).

I applied Bitten on the lower eyelid by the lashes and blended the eyeshadow with a little Latte shadow. I applied mascara to the lower and upper eyelashes. To open the eye a little I put a dot of Shimma Shimma in the inner corner of the eye and Stila Topaz (beige) eyeliner on my waterline.

Ker sem oči močno naličila, sem na obrazu uporabila bolj nežne, nevtralne odtenke. Za piko na i bi morala uporabiti še umetne trepalnice a ker sem hitela na piknik (tako je, takšna sem šla popoldan na piknik, ljudje so verjetno mislili, da sem zmešana :D) sem jih izpustila. Seznam ostalih izdelkov, ki sem jih uporabila je spodaj. Vam je bil ta look všeč?

Because my eyes were so dark I used more delicate, neutral shades on the face. False eyelashes would be the cherry on the top but because I was rushing to go on a picnic (yes, I went on a picnic in the middle of the day looking like this, people probably thought I was crazy :D) I skipped that. Makeup Geek: Bitten in Burlesque

Nadaljujem delo z ocenjevanjem Makeup Geek senčil in danes sta na vrsti Bitten in Burlesque, ki sta bolj temni, bolj skrivnostni senčili, ampak prav tako eni izmed mojih najljubših senčil.

I’m continuing with the evaluation of the Makeup Geek eyeshadows and today it’s time for Bitten and Burlesque, which are darker, more mysterious shades but also one of my favorites.

Makeup Geek trdi, da je Bitten temno rdeče-rjavo senčilo z mat finišem. S tem se popolnoma strinjam. Bitten je po mojem mnenju najboljše Makeup Geek senčilo, ki ga imam. Senčilo je izredno pigmentirano, zelo lepo se nanaša na veko in blenda, ni pudrasto, ampak ravno prav kremasto. Čudovito. 🙂 Bitten sem kupila za bolj drzne make-up izglede. Največkrat ga uporabljam v zunanjem kotičku očesa ali v gubi veke. Bitten je tisto senčilo, ki ga enostavno morate imeti.

Makeup Geek claims that Bitten is a deep maroon eyeshadow with a matte finish. I totally agree. Bitten is in my opinion the best Makeup Geek eyeshadow that I own. The shadow is extremely pigmented, it applies and blends nicely, it’s not powdery but creamy enough. Amazing. 🙂 I bought Bitten for more daring make-up looks. I usually use it in the outer eye corner or in the crease. Bitten is that one shade that you simply must have.

Burlesque sem prvič videla, ko sem gledala Kathleen Lights kako ga uporablja v kombinaciji z Bitten senčilom in takoj sem vedela, da ga potrebujem, čeprav je samo senčilo izredno podobno Bitten senčilu. Makeup Geek trdi, da je Burlesque bordo senčilo s toplimi podtoni in z metalnim finišem. Metalen finiš ni tako izrazit, da pa vseeno lep sijaj. Burlesque je bolj temno oziroma bolj globoko od Bitten in zato tudi bolj primerno za čez celo veko. Burlesque uporabljam vedno za zadimljen videz, ko želim nekaj drugačnega.

The first time I saw Burlesque was when I was watching Kathleen Light use it in combination with Bitten and I immediately knew that I need it although the shade itself was very similar to Bitten. Makeup Geek claims that Burlesque is a burgundy eyeshadow with warm undertones and a metallic finish. The metallic finish is not that noticeable but it does give a nice shine. Burlesque is deeper than Bitten and that’s why it’s suitable for all over the eyelid. I always use Burlesque for a smokey look when I want something different.

ABH: Pro Series Powder Contour Banana in Vanilla

Anastasia Beverly Hills mi je bila vedno zanimiva in vsakič, ko sem gledala punce kako so uporabljale njene palete za konturiranje, sem si želela, da bi si jo tudi jaz lahko kupila. Čez čas me je minil nakup palete, še vedno pa sem si želela dober banana puder v kamnu ali prahu za fiksiranje korektorja. Na mojo srečo je, po neuspešnem iskanju, Beauty Bay dobil posamezne pudre v kamnu za ponovno polnitev palet.

I was always interested in Anastasia Beverly Hills and every time I watched girls use her contour palette I always wished I could buy it as well. After a while I lost interest in the palette but I still wanted a good banana powder, compact or loose, for setting my concealer. Luckily for me after an unsuccessful search, Beauty Bay got the individual refill powders for the palettes.

Odločila sem se kupiti kar dve barvi, saj me je skrbelo, da bi bila Banana preveč rumena zame, ki imam precej bolj nevtralno hladen podton. Tako sem poleg Banane kupila še Vanilijo. Ker so to posamezni pudri, ki so za ponovno polnitev palete, nimajo svoje embalaže, ampak so pakirani le v kartonasti škatlici in potrebujete paleto v katero jih boste shranili. Sama ju hranim v Z paleti, ki je super priročna.

I decided to buy two shades because I was worried that Banana would be too yellow for me because I have a more neutral cool undertone. So in addition to Banana I bought Vanilla as well. Because these are individual refill powders they come just in a pan packaged in a cardboard box and you need a palette to store them in. I store them in a Z palette which is super convenient.

Prvi šok, ki sem ga doživela, je bila velikost samih pudrov. Pri naročanju namreč nisem bila pozorna na težo produkta, tako da sem pričakovala standardnih 5-6g. Dobila sem seveda veliko manj in sicer 3g. Še dobro, da pudra uporabljam samo pod očmi, saj ju tako ne porabim veliko.

The first shock that I experienced was the size of the powders. While ordering them I wasn’t paying attention to the weight of the product so I expected a standard 5-6g. I of course got a lot less, namely 3g. It’s good that I only use the powder under my eyes so I don’t use a lot.

Banana je svetlo rumen mat puder, Vanilla pa svetlo krem, delno mat. Oba pudra sta ravno prav mehka, da se lepo oprimeta ščetin na čopiču. Pudra sta prav tako precej pigmentirana, Banana bolj kot Vanilla, tako da dodatno prekrijeta moje temne podočnjake. Ker se mi je Banana zdel prerumen sem ju začela mešati in tako dobila perfektni odtenek. Pudra dobro fiksirata moj korektor in tudi predel pod očmi lepo osvetlita.

Banana is a pale matte yellow, Vanilla is a pale demi matte cream. Both of the powders are soft enough so they stick to the brush bristles. The powders are quite pigmented as well, Banana more than Vanilla so they additionally cover my dark under eye circles. Because I thought that Banana was too yellow I started mixing them together and that’s how I got the perfect shade. The powders set my concealer really well and also brighten the under eye area.

Za 3g produkta sem na Beauty Bayu odštela 16,50€ kar se mi zdi veliko za sicer dober puder. Velik plus je, da je izbor odtenkov širok, tako da lahko vsaka najde nekaj zase in si načeloma kupi le enega, namesto cele palete. Jaz ju bom z veseljem porabila, nisem pa prepričana, da ju bom spet kupila. Bolj me mika Laura Mercier Brightening powder za predel pod očmi. Kaj vi uporabljate za fiksiranje korektorja? Priporočate kaj?

I paid 16,50€ on Beauty Bay for 3g of product and I find that to be too much for a powder that is good. The big plus is that there is a wide selection of shades so everyone can find something for themselves and generally buy only one instead of the whole palette. I will happily use them but I’m not sure I’ll buy them again. I’m more temped by the Laura Mercier Brightening powder for the under eye area. What do you use for setting you concealer? Do you recommend anything?

Urban Decay: Beached Bronzer

Odkar je ta bronzer v prodaji, nisem še slišala ene osebe, da bi rekla karkoli slabega čez njega. Zato sem ga tudi sama kupila, da vidim, če je res tako dober. In da, je. Mislim, da lahko brez slabe vesti rečem, da je to najboljši produkt vseh produktov, ki sem ga kdajkoli imela, uporabljala, kupila. Tako je. Najboljši.

Since this bronzer has been sold, I haven’t heard one person saying anything bad about it. This is why I bought it myself, to see, if it’s really that good. And yes, it is. I think I can say with confidence, that this is the best product of all products I have ever had, used, bought. That’s right. The best.

Pri meni ni poletja, jeseni, zime, pomladi, brez bronzerja. Uporabljam ga vedno. Uporabljam ga za senčenje obraza in da obrazu dodam malo barve, saj sem precej svetlopolta. Sama sem se odločila za temnejši odtenek Bronzed, saj poleti, ko bom malce zagorela, bom potrebovala nekaj temnejšega. Nisem pa nikoli pričakovala, da bo ta bronzer dober tudi za čas, ko sem svetlejše polti.

For me there’s no summer, autumn, winter, spring, without a bronzer. I always use it. I use it to contour my face and to give my face a bit of color, since I have a pretty light skin tone. I decided to go with the darker shade Bronzed, because in the summer, when I’m a bit more tanned, I’ll need something darker. I’ve never expected that this bronzer will also be good for the time, when I’m lighter.

Bronzer ima čudovito embalažo. Priznam, da sem ga kupila tudi zaradi tega. Embalaža je okrogla, s pokrovom na poklop. Le-ta je bronaste barve s prelepo sliko palm na pokrovu. Čudovito. 🙂 V notranjosti je tudi ogledalo. Dobimo 9g produkta, kar je veliko in verjetno bo dovolj za kar nekaj časa.

The bronzer has a beautiful packaging. I admitt, that I bought it for the packaging as well. The packaging is round, with a lid. It’s a bronzy colored compact with a gorgeous image of palms on the lid. Stunning. 🙂 There’s a mirror on the inside as well. We get 9g of product, which is a lot and will probably be enough for quite some time.

Bronzer je ravno prav mehak in čudovit na otip. Kot maslo. Bronzer je mat, kar meni odgovarja, ravno zaradi tega, ker obraz z njim tudi senčim. Čopič brez težav zajame produkt in ga enakomerno nanese na obraz. Kar je najboljše pri tem produktu je to, da ne glede na to kako težko roko imate pri nanosu, vedno ga boste lahko razmazale/zblendale dovolj, da bo izgledalo naravno. Jaz ga uporabljam čisto vsak dan, ostali bronzerji pa so trenutno na pavzi. Čeprav izgleda precej topel pa je na koži čudovit, tako da menim, da ga lahko uporabljate vsi, ne glede na podton.

The bronzer is soft enough and wonderful to the touch. Like butter. The bronzer is matte and I like it, because I also contour with it. The brush easily captures the product and applies it evenly on the face. What’s great with this product is that no matter how heavy you hand is while applying, you’ll always be able to blend it enough for it to look natural. I use it every single day, the other bronzers are on a break. Although it looks pretty warm it’s gorgeous on the skin, so I think that anyone can use it, no matter the undertone.

Sama sem imela plan za zimo kupiti svetlejši odtenek, Sunkissed, ampak mislim, da bom kar ostala pri tem, saj po mojem mnenju s tem bronzerjem ne morete izgledati nenaravno. 😀 Naročila sem ga v Doulgasu (Avstrija) in zanj odštela 29€. Resda ni malo, ampak iskreno lahko rečem, da se splača. Prav tako ga lahko naročite na FeelUnique za 26,40€.

I myself had a plan to buy the lighter shade, Sunkissed, for the winter, but I think that I’ll just stick to this one, because in my opinion you can’t look unnatural with this bronzer. 😀 I ordered it in Douglas (Austria) and paid 29€. It’s true that the price is quite high, but I can honestly say, that it’s worth it. You can also order it on FeelUnique for 26,40€.

Makeup Geek: Unexpected in Vintage

Kot že veste, sem velika nadvušenka nad Makeup Geek senčili, saj so izredno kvalitetna, cena pa je sprejemljiva, moja zbirka pa se počasi veča. 🙂 Tokrat sem se odločila oceniti in opisati Unexpected in Vintage.

As you already know, I’m a big fan of Makeup Geek eyeshadows, because they’re great quality, the price is acceptable and my collection is slowly increasing. 🙂 This time I decided to review Unexpected and Vintage.

Makeup Geek trdi, da je Unexpected mat svetlo rožnato rjavo senčilo. Dokler nisem prebrala opisa na njihovi strani, sem vedno govorila, da je to senčilo svetlo lila z dodatkom sive, ampak sedaj vidim, da ima res tople podtone. Senčilo sem kupila, saj sem potrebovala eno svetlo senčilo s pridihom vijolične (rožnate, lila) za prehodno senčilo. Senčilo torej vedno uporabljam kot prehodno barvo, nikoli ga še nisem uporabila na veki. Senčilo je ravno prav mehko, pigmentirano (kolikor je pač lahko, saj je svetlo), se lepo nanaša in blenda.

Makeup Geek states that Unexpected is a matte pale pink brown eyeshadow. Until I read the description on their page, I always said that this is a light lilac with a hint of gray, but now I see that it really has warm undertones. I bought this eyeshadow, because I needed a light eyeshadow with a hint of purple (pink, lilac) for a transitional shade. I always use this shadow as a transition color, I never used it on the lid. The eyeshadow is soft enough, pigmented (as it can be, because it’s light), applies and blends nicely.

Vintage je po mojem mnenju starejša sestra od Unexpected in ravno zaradi tega ju ponavadi tudi uporabljam skupaj. Makeup geek trdi, da je to srednje rjavo mat senčilo z vijoličnim (slezenastim) podtonom. Senčilo ponavadi uporabim za poglobitev barve v zunanjem kotičku očesa ali pod spodnjo veko. Občasno ga nanesem tudi čez celo veko, ko želim zadimljene oči malo drugače. Senčilo je ravno prav mehko, pigmentirano in se lepo nanaša in blenda.

Vintage is in my opinion the older sister from Unexpected and that’s why I usually use them together. Makeup Geek states that it’s a medium brown with mauve undertones and a matte finish. I usually use the eyeshadow to deepen the outer corner of the eye or on the lower lid. Occasionally I apply it across the entire lid, when I want a smokey eye with a twist. The eyeshadow is soft enough, pigmented, applies and blends nicely.

Zoeva: Warm Spectrum

Če ste že brali kaj moj blog, potem veste, da sem zvesta uporabnica Zoeva kozmetike in čopičev. Zame so njihovi produkti med najboljšimi, pa še cene so relativno nizke. Tako sem poleg Zoeva Coral Spectrum palete z rdečili (ocena tukaj), kupila še tole Warm paleto za oči. Izbirala sem med tremi različicami (Warm, Nude in Cool) in izbrala tole, saj se mi je zdelo, da jo bom tudi največ uporabljala.

If you have already read my blog then you know that I’m a loyal user of Zoeva brushes and cosmetics. For me their products are among the best, the prices are also relatively low. So beside the Coral Spectrum blush palette (review here), I also bought the Warm Spectrum eyeshadow palette. I chose between three versions (Warm, Nude and Cool) and chose this one, because I felt that I will use it the most.

Embalaža je enaka kot pri Coral Spectrum paleti, le večja. Torej mat črna kartonasta paleta, ki pride v rokavu, z bakrenim napisom na paleti. Paleta ne vsebuje ogledala. Narejena je zelo dobro, deluje trpežna.

The packaging is the same as the Coral Spectrum palette, only bigger. So it’s black matte cardboard palette that comes in a sleeve, with a copper lettering. The palette doesn’t contain a mirror. It’s made really well, seems durable.

Paleta je malenkost večja, kot njihov druge palete, saj ima tudi več senčil. Ta paleta jih ima namreč 15. Vsa senčila so zelo lepo pigmentirana, ravno prav mehka in se čudovito nanašajo ter enostavno blendajo. Paleta vsebuje 10 mat senčil, 2 duochrome in 3 satenasta. Kar mi je všeč pri tej paleti je to, da vsebuje tudi mat črno senčilo, ki po mojem mnenju mora biti v vsaki paleti. Prav tako imamo tudi dovolj prehodnih barv. Satenasta senčila so izredno pigmentirana, pri nanosu imam občutek, kot da so kremna senčila, čeprav niso. Duochrome senčila bi lahko bila po mojem mnenju rahlo bolj pigmentirana, ampak vseeno so zelo lepa in zelo rada jih uprabljam.

The palette is slightly larger then their other palettes as it has more eyeshadows. This palette namely has 15 eyeshadows. All of the shadows are nicely pigmented, soft enough and apply beautifully and blend easily. The palette contains 10 matte eyeshadows, 2 duochrome and 3 satin. What I like about this palette is that it has a matte black shadow, which in my opinion should be in every palette. We also have enough transition shades. The satin shadows are highly pigmented and upon application I feel like they are cream shadows, although they are not. The duochrome shadows could be slightly more pigmented, but I still think they are really nice and I love using them.

Kot minus naj omenim to, da ima paleta 4 svetle barve, ki so si na oko zelo podobne, čeprav vseeno niso iste. Vsaka paleta, bi morala imeti tudi svetla senčila, eno mat in eno satenasto po mojem mnenju, ampak štiri se mi res zdijo preveč. Raje bi dali vmes še dve barvni senčili, mogoče kakšno rdečkasto-rjavo ali kaj bolj živega. Ta svetla senčila so tudi najbolj pudrasta, kar pa mene načeloma ne moti.

As a minus I want to mention that the palette has 4 light shadows that are really similar to the eye, although not the same. Every palette should have some light shadows, one matte and one satin in my opinion, but I feel that 4 are too much. I would prefer to have two more shadows, maybe a maroon or something brighter. These lighter eyeshadows are also more powdery, but I don’t mind.

Kljub temu se mi zdijo senčila zelo dobra, paleto veliko uporabljam in vedno najdem kakšno novo kombinacijo. Zoeva: Coral Spectrum

Že nekaj časa nazaj sem napisala, da se veselim Spectrum kolekcije in februarja sem jo tudi končno dobila. Odločila sem se za paleto rdečil in sicer Coral Spectrum, saj imam rada rdečila v takih odtenkih.

Some time ago I wrote that I was looking forward to the Spectrum collection and in February I finally got it. I decided for the blush palette, the Coral Spectrum, because I love coral blushes.

Paleta je črna mat, na otip zelo podobna NARS embalaži, vendar kartonasta z bronastim (holografskim) napisom, v rokavu, ki je identičen zunanjosti palete. Paleta je zelo dobro narejena in trpežna. V paleti ni ogledala, le 4 x 3,8g produkta.

The palette is matte black, it feels very similar to NARS packaging but made out of cardboard with copper (holographic) inscription, in a sleeve, that is identical to the exterior of the palette. The palette is very well made and durable. There is no mirror in the palette, only 4 x 3,8g of product.

V paleti so tri mat rdečila in eno satenasto. Rdečila so zelo dobro pigmentirana, tako da priporočam lahko roko pri nanosu. Zelo lepo se razmažejo, blendajo, in niso pudrasta.

The palette includes three matte blushes and one satin. The blushes are very nicely pigmented so I recommend a light hand with the application. They blend really easily and are not powdery.

Barve so zelo različne med seboj. Imamo eno zelo svetlo mat rdečilo, katero trenutno največ uporabljam. Čeprav mogoče na sliki ne izgleda nič ekstra, ampak je super, ker naravno poudari lica. Potem imamo dve rožnati rdečili, ki sta tudi mat, s toplim podtonom. Na koncu pa še edino satenasto, ki je zame pravo koralno rdečilo, rožnato s pridihom breskve in lepim sijajem. Rdečila se mi zdijo primerna za vse in zame je ta paleta edina, ki jo nesem s seboj, ko kam potujem.

The colors are very different from each other. We have one very light matte blush, that I use the most at the time. Although it may not look much on the pictures it’s really great, because it naturally emphasizes the cheeks. Then we have two pink blushes, that are also matte with a warm undertone. In the end we have the only satin blush, for me a true coral blush, pink with a hint of peach and a gorgeous shine. The blushes to me seem appropriate for everyone and for me this is the only palette I take with me when I travel.
