Toxic make-up look

Ne samo, da slavimo 1. obletnico bloga in da je to zadnja objava to leto, prav tako je to 100. objava. Ponosna sem, da sem uspela v enem letu objaviti 100 objav, takšnih in drugačnih, še bolj vesela pa sem, da sem imela več obiska, kot sem si kdajkoli predstavljala, da ga bom imela. Zato se želim tudi zahvaliti vsem, ki ste kdaj slučajno ali namerno pokukali na moj blog, kaj pokomentirali in se prijavili v mojo bazo rednih obiskovalcev.

Not only that we’re celebrating the 1st anniversary of the blog and that this is the last post in this year it’s also the 100th post. I’m proud to have succeeded to post 100 different posts in a year, I’m even happier that I had more traffic than I ever imagined that I would ever have. Therefore I want to thank everyone that accidentally or intentionally stopped at my blog, commented or subscribed.

Zadnja objava je tako makeup izgled z uporabo Makeup Geek senčila, ki sem ga v zadnji objavi ocenila in sicer je to Toxic, prav tako pa sem ustvarila izgled, ki je primeren tudi za zadnji večer v letu, za silvestrovo. A nikar ne skrbite, saj je izgled izredno enostavno poustvariti, saj uporabim samo 3 senčila.

The last post is a make-up look using the Makeup Geek eyeshadow that I reviewed in my last post namely Toxic and I also created a look that is suitable for the New Year’s Eve. But don’t worry because this look is very easy to recreate because I only used 3 eyeshadows.

Začela sem z bazo za veke in bež senčilom s katerim sem fiksirala bazo. Nato sledi prvo Makeup Geek senčilo in sicer Unexpected (1.), katero nanesem kot prehodno barvo, torej v gubo veke in ga zblendam s širšim čopičem malenkost nad gubo in tudi pod gubo. To ponovim dvakrat, tako da je senčilo enakomerno nanešeno. Potem nadaljujem z Vintage (2.) senčilom, katero nanesem na celo veko, do očesne gube. Senčilo nanašam, dokler ni enakomerno nanešeno. S prvim čopičem grem brez dodatnega produkta čez gubo veke, da senčili združim.

I started with an eyeshadow base and a beige eyeshadow to set the base. Then I used the first Makeup Geek eyeshadow, Latte (1.) that I apply as a transitional color in the eye crease and blend it with a wider blending brush a bit above and under the crease. I repeat this twice so the eyeshadow is evenly applied. Then I continue with Vintage (2.) eyeshadow that I apply all over the lid, up to the eye crease. I apply the eyeshadow until it’s not evenly applied. I go over the eye crease with the first brush and no additional product to blend the eyeshadows together.

Nato sledi Toxic (3.) katero sem s prstom nanesla čez Vintage, torej čez celo veko. Senčilo narahlo tapkam po veki in to ponavaljam, dokler ni senčilo lepo nanešeno čez celo veko. Z manjšim, ožjim, čopičem za blendanje zajamem malo Vintage senčila in ga nanesem pod gubo ter v zunanji kotiček očesa, da povežem obe senčili. Za zaključek sem narisala še tanko črno črto ob rob trepalnic ter nanesla maskaro. Na spodnjo veko, čisto ob rob trepalnic sem nanesla Vintage (2.) in šla čez z Unexpected (1.) senčilom, da sem robove zabrisala, na notranji rob veke sem nanesla črno barvico ter zaključila z maskaro.

Next is Toxic (3.) that I apply with my finger all over Vintage across the whole lid. I tap the eyeshadow lightly on the eyelid and repeat until the eyeshadow is evenly applied all over the lid. With a smaller, more narrow blending brush I take a little Vintage and apply it under my eye crease and in the outer corner of the eye to blend the both eyeshadows. To finish it off I drew a thin black line at the edge of the eyelashes and applied mascara. On my lower eyelid right under the eyelashes I applied Vintage (2.) and went over with Unexpected (1.) to blend the edges, put some black eye kohl on my waterline and concluded with mascara.

V notranji kotiček očesa in pod obrv pa sem nanesla kar osvetljevalec katerega sem uporabila na obrazu in sicer MAC Tutu iz božične kolekcije (Sweet Peach). Ker je to silvestrski izgled sem na obraz sicer nanesla bolj nežne rožnate odtenke, malce več osvetljevalca kot ponavadi, na ustnice pa drzno temno šminko in sicer Jouer Clove, ki je izredno udobna, lahko pa nanesete tudi kakšno bež šminko ali nežen rožnati glos. Seznam ostalih izdelkov, ki sem jih uporabila je spodaj.

In my inner eye corner and under my eyebrows I applied the highlighter I used on my face, MAC Tutu from the Christmas collection (Sweet Peach). Because this is a New Year’s Eve look I applied more subtle pink shades to the face, a bit more highlighter than usual and a more bold dark lipstick Jouer Clove, that is extremely comfortable, but you can also apply any nude lipstick or a subtle pink gloss. Makeup Geek: Rebel in Toxic

Ker vidim, da imate radi, ko ocenjujem Makeup Geek senčila, sta tukaj spet dve novi, ki ju še nisem uspela oceniti. Tokrat sta na vrsti Rebel in Toxic.

Because I can see that you like my Makeup Geek reviews I reviewed two new eyeshadows that I didn’t have the time to post until now. It’s time for Rebel and Toxic.

Makeup Geek trdi, da je Rebel globoko umazano vijolično senčilo z zlatim odsevom in shimmer finišem. Recimo, da se strinjam z vsem edino z delom “globoko”. 🙂 Senčilo je ravno prav kremasto vendar pa ni najbolj pigmentirano oziroma barva sama je takšna, da mogoče ne deluje najbolj pigmentirano. Nanaša in blenda se lepo. Tudi zlati odsev je lepo viden. Meni osebno barva ni najbolj všeč in zato sem tudi senčilo uporabila le dvakrat do sedaj. Uporabila sem ga že cez celo veko in v notranjem kotičku očesa. To je verjetno tudi edino senčilo od Makeup Geek-a, ki mi do sedaj ni bilo všeč.

Makeup Geek claims that Rebel is a deep dusty purple with a gold overlay and a shimmery finish. Let’s say that I agree with everything except with the “deep” part. 🙂 The eyeshadow is creamy but not very pigmented or the color itself is such that it doesn’t look pigmented. It applies and blends nicely. The gold reflect is also nicely seen. I myself don’t like the color very much and that’s also why I used the eyeshadow only twice until now. I used it all over the eyelid as well as only in the inner corner of the eye. This is also the only eyeshadow from Makeup Geek that I don’t like so far.

Toxic je senčilo, ki mi je veliko bolj všeč. Makeup Geek trdi, da je Toxic globoko melancana vijolično senčilo z shimmer finišem. Toxic mi deluje podobno kot Rebel in sicer izgleda mi kot temno vijolična podlaga s toplim podtonom in globoko vijoličnim odsevom. Senčilo je ravno prav mehko, se ne drobi in se lepo blenda. Jaz ga velikokrat uporabim na sredini veke za poživitev kakšne druge mat vijolične senčke. Meni je senčilo zelo všeč in ga priporočam.

Toxic is an eyeshadow that I like much more. Makeup Geek claims that it’s a deep eggplant purple with a shimmery finish. Toxic is similar to Rebel in a way that it looks like a deep purple base with a warm undertone and a deep purple reflect. The eyeshadow is soft enough, doesn’t crumble and blends nicely. I often use it on the center of the eyelid over a purple eyeshadow to pick it up a bit. I really like the eyeshadow and I recommend it.

Lush: Sex bomb

Enostavno ne morem da ne bi ocenjevala teh Lushevih kopalnih bombic, saj je velika večina res čudovitih. To je bila še ena izmed tistih, ki so v prodaji že nekaj časa, a je nikoli nisem uspela poskusit. Tokrat sem se ob obisku trgovine hitro odločila za njo in jo takoj še isti večer poskusila.

I just have to review these bath bombs from Lush, because the majority of them are really wonderful. This has been one of those, that have been on sale for some time now, but I never had a chance to try it out. This time, while visiting the store, I quickly decided to buy it and try it the same night.

Bombica je rožnata in vijolična z vrtnico (?) na vrhu. Prevladuje rožnata barva. Bombica diši nežno, cvetlično s pridihom sladkosti. Vonj je nežen in pomirja. Prevladujeta muškat in jasmin. Ko bombico spustim v vodo se vonj po kopalnici razširi zelo hitro. Ker je bombica v glavnem rožnata je tudi voda rožnata. Ko se polovica ali malenkost več bombice stopi, na površje priplava cvet. Cvet je mehak in rahlo sluzast. Čez čas cvet razpade in po vodi plavajo cvetni listi.

The bomb is pink and purple with a rose (?) on the top. The pink color dominates.  The bomb has a delicate, flowery scent with a hint of sweetness. The scent is gentle and soothing. Muscat and jasmine dominate. When I release the bomb in the water the scent spreads quickly throughout the bathroom. Because the bomb is mainly pink, the water turns pink as well. When half or slightly more of the bomb melts, a flower comes up to the water surface. The flower is soft and slightly slimy. After a while the flower falls apart and there are flower petals left floating on the surface.

Sestavine: natrijev bikarbonat, citronska kislina, natrijev seskvikarbonat, parfum, sojino mleko, sintetični mošus, absolut jasmina, olje muškatne kadulje, olja ylang-ylanga, titanov dioksid, limonene, linalool, barvilo 18050, barvilo 61585, cvet iz riževega papirja.

Kopanje v kopeli je sproščujoče, cvetni listi pa dajejo občutek razkošja. Edino kar mi je žal, je da ni več cvetov v bombici. Cvetni listi čez čas razpadejo saj so riževega papirja, tako da v banji po kopanju ni ostankov. Bombica prav tako ne pušča na banji madežev, kar je meni zelo pomembno. 🙂 Koža je po kopanju dišeča in ni izsušena, kar je vedno plus. Za kopalno bombico boste odšteli 5,50€.

Bathing is relaxing, the flower petals give a sense of luxury. The only thing I regret is that there aren’t more flowers in the bomb. The petals break down after a while because they are made out of rice paper, so there is no residue after bathing. The bomb doesn’t leave any stains on the tub either, which is very important to me. 🙂 The skin is left fragrant and not dry, which is always a plus. You will pay 5,50€ for the bath bomb.

Makeup Geek: Unexpected in Vintage

Kot že veste, sem velika nadvušenka nad Makeup Geek senčili, saj so izredno kvalitetna, cena pa je sprejemljiva, moja zbirka pa se počasi veča. 🙂 Tokrat sem se odločila oceniti in opisati Unexpected in Vintage.

As you already know, I’m a big fan of Makeup Geek eyeshadows, because they’re great quality, the price is acceptable and my collection is slowly increasing. 🙂 This time I decided to review Unexpected and Vintage.

Makeup Geek trdi, da je Unexpected mat svetlo rožnato rjavo senčilo. Dokler nisem prebrala opisa na njihovi strani, sem vedno govorila, da je to senčilo svetlo lila z dodatkom sive, ampak sedaj vidim, da ima res tople podtone. Senčilo sem kupila, saj sem potrebovala eno svetlo senčilo s pridihom vijolične (rožnate, lila) za prehodno senčilo. Senčilo torej vedno uporabljam kot prehodno barvo, nikoli ga še nisem uporabila na veki. Senčilo je ravno prav mehko, pigmentirano (kolikor je pač lahko, saj je svetlo), se lepo nanaša in blenda.

Makeup Geek states that Unexpected is a matte pale pink brown eyeshadow. Until I read the description on their page, I always said that this is a light lilac with a hint of gray, but now I see that it really has warm undertones. I bought this eyeshadow, because I needed a light eyeshadow with a hint of purple (pink, lilac) for a transitional shade. I always use this shadow as a transition color, I never used it on the lid. The eyeshadow is soft enough, pigmented (as it can be, because it’s light), applies and blends nicely.

Vintage je po mojem mnenju starejša sestra od Unexpected in ravno zaradi tega ju ponavadi tudi uporabljam skupaj. Makeup geek trdi, da je to srednje rjavo mat senčilo z vijoličnim (slezenastim) podtonom. Senčilo ponavadi uporabim za poglobitev barve v zunanjem kotičku očesa ali pod spodnjo veko. Občasno ga nanesem tudi čez celo veko, ko želim zadimljene oči malo drugače. Senčilo je ravno prav mehko, pigmentirano in se lepo nanaša in blenda.

Vintage is in my opinion the older sister from Unexpected and that’s why I usually use them together. Makeup Geek states that it’s a medium brown with mauve undertones and a matte finish. I usually use the eyeshadow to deepen the outer corner of the eye or on the lower lid. Occasionally I apply it across the entire lid, when I want a smokey eye with a twist. The eyeshadow is soft enough, pigmented, applies and blends nicely.

Lush: Blackberry bath bomb

Ta kopalna bombica je po mojem mnenju v prodaji že celo večnost, jaz pa sem jo kupila šele letos. Bombica je vijolična in na vrhu je vtisnjen napis BOMB. Moja je sicer imela par belo-vijoličnih pikic, ampak mislim, da je to bilo zato, ker sem jo slučajno zmočila in niso take ponavadi.

This bath bomb, in my opinion, has been sold in Lush for ages and I finally bought it this year.  The bomb is purple with the word BOMB imprinted on the top. Mine had a few white-purple dots, but I think it was because it got wet and they usually don’t look like that.

Dišala je zelo močno in po prejšnji (ocena tukaj), ko sem bila razočarana, mi je bilo všeč, da lepo diši. Že samo ime pove, da diši po robidah, vendar pa je vonj robid pomešan tudi z vonjem bergamotke. Voda se obarva vijolično a je še vedno prosojna. Video kopalne bombice v akciji lahko vidite spodaj.

It smelled really strong and after the last one (review here), when I was disappointed, I liked that it smelled so nice. The name itself let’s us know that it smells like blackberries, but the blackberry scent is mixed with the scent of bergamot. The water stains purple, but it’s still transparent. Video of the bath bomb in action can be seen below.

Sestavine: natrijev bikarbonat, citronska kislina, parfum, olje bergamotke, olje kadila, barvilo 18050, barvilo 42045.

Kar mi je bilo všeč in kaj imam rada je to, da me v sredini bombice preseneti sporočilo. Tokrat je pisalo Boom Boom! Super bi blo, če bi Lush natisnil na primer 100 različnih sporočil in jih naključno dajal v kopalne krogle, tako da nikoli ne bi vedeli kaj bi dobili. 😉 Kože mi ni izsušila, saj vsebuje tudi olja, kar je vedno velik plus. Koža je bila prav tako lepo odišavljena po kopeli, vonj se je obdržal kakšne tri ure.

What I liked and what I love is when I’m surprised by a note, hidden in the middle of the bomb. This time it said Boom Boom! It would be great if Lush would print for example a 100 different messages and randomly place them in the bath bombs, so you would never know, what you would get. 😉 It didn’t dry out my skin, because it contains oils as well, which is always a big plus. The skin was nicely perfumed after the bath, the scent lingered for about three hours.

Vse je bilo super dokler nisem stopila iz banje, saj se je na površini vode nabralo olje (olje bergamotke in/ali olje kadila) in se posledično oprijelo roba banje. Še slabše je bilo, ko sem poskušala to zdrgnit, saj samo z vodo ni šlo. Po sproščujoči kopeli pa se mi res ni dalo še banje čistiti. Tako, da ji dajem to v minus. Ne vem, če se to vedno dogaja ali je bilo kaj narobe z mojo? Kakšne so vaše izkušnje?

Everything was great until I stepped out of the bathtub, because oil accumulated on the water surface (bergamot oil and/or frankincense oil) and subsequently clinged to the edge of the tub. It was even worse when I tried to rub it off, because it wouldn’t  with water only. After a relaxing bath I really didn’t want to clean the bathtub. So that was a minus. I don’t know if this always happens or there was something wrong with mine? What are your experiences?

Makeup Geek: Shimma Shimma in Prom Night

O mojem navdušenju nad Makeup Geek senčkami sem pisala že tukaj. Kot sem že takrat omenila, imam trenutno sedem njihovih senčil in tokrat vam predstavljam Shimma Shimma in Prom Night.

I wrote about my enthusiasm about Makeup Geek eyeshadows here. As I said earlier I have seven eyeshadows from Makeup Geek and this time I’m introducing Shimma Shimma and Prom Night.

Shimma Shimma je moja (zaenkrat) najljubša senčka, saj jo uporabim vsakič, ko se naličim. Makeup Geek trdi, da je senčilo šampanjec barve z metalnim finišem. Senčilo je v osnovi bež z rahlo toplim podtonom in res čudovitim sijajem. Jaz senčilo uporabljam za osvetlitev pod obrvmi in v notranjem kotičku očesa. Senčilo je mehko, super pigmentirano in z lahkoto se razmazuje. Po kvaliteti in barvi je zame to res top senčka.

Shimma Shimma is my (for now) favorite eyeshadow, because I use it every time when I wear make-up. Makeup Geek claims that this is a metallic champagne eyeshadow. The shadow is basically beige with a slight warm undertone and beautiful shine. I use it to highlight under my eyebrows and in my inner eye corner. The eyeshadow is soft, pigmented and blends easily. By quality and color this is my top eyeshadow.

Prom night je vijolična osnova s pridihom sive in svetlečim finišem. Prom Night je senčilo, katero lahko nanesem čez celo veko, pod obrv Shimma Shimma in dobim super izgled za dan ali večer. Všeč mi je, ker ne potrebujem veliko truda, da oči izgledajo, kot da sem porabila eno uro samo za oči. Senčilo je mehko, pigmentirano in se lepo razmazuje.

Prom night is a purple base with a hint of gray and a shimmer finish. Prom Night is an eyeshadow I can apply on the whole lid, Shimma Shimma under my eyebrow and I get a super look for day or night time. I like it when I don’t need a lot of effort to make the eyes look like I used and hour on them. The eyeshadow is soft, pigmented and blends easily.
