Avene: Thermal water

My sister introduced me to thermal water a few years ago when she introduced me to a similar product. I remember enjoying spritzing the thermal water all over my face in the summer heat. Since then I often treat myself with a spray thermal water.

Avene Thermal water is packaged in a tall white tin with orange (and black) lettering, similar to a hairspray. The spray spritzes the water really fine and it feels like a mist is falling on your face. The spray works really well. You can buy the thermal water in a mini size 50ml or in a bigger packaging (150ml and 300ml). 150ml will be enough for over the summer, depending on how often you use it of course.

Avene claims that their thermal water is clinically shown to calm and to be suitable for atopic, oily skin and skin prone to redness. It’s also supposed to be suitable for soothing after skin burns, surgeries, infections, etc.

I myself always keep the thermal water in the refrigerator in the summer or winter, because I really like the feeling of a cold mist on my face. I spray it usually from a distance of about 20cm and spray it in a letter X shape across the face. That’s enough. In the summer I use the thermal water after being exposed to the sun, because it actually calms the skin. I use the thermal water on a clean face or over make-up, because the water doesn’t smudge the make-up (in case you don’t splash yourself with the water 🙂 ). It’s good to pat dry the rest of the water but since I use a small amount I don’t have the need to do that.

In winter or during the heating season when my skin is more dry than usual I use the mist to refresh and moisten the skin. I can therefore confirm, firsthand, that the Avene Thermal water really does calm and moisturize the skin and you can use it throughout the day and year. I have a 150ml bottle at home and a small one as well in my bag for refreshment during the day. You can purchase the Avene Thermal water in an online pharmacy Lekarnar.com and in other pharmacies. Do you recommend anything else from Avene cosmetics?

Radi se imejte in veliko se smejte! 😉
