Makeup Geek: Rebel in Toxic

Ker vidim, da imate radi, ko ocenjujem Makeup Geek senčila, sta tukaj spet dve novi, ki ju še nisem uspela oceniti. Tokrat sta na vrsti Rebel in Toxic.

Because I can see that you like my Makeup Geek reviews I reviewed two new eyeshadows that I didn’t have the time to post until now. It’s time for Rebel and Toxic.

Makeup Geek trdi, da je Rebel globoko umazano vijolično senčilo z zlatim odsevom in shimmer finišem. Recimo, da se strinjam z vsem edino z delom “globoko”. 🙂 Senčilo je ravno prav kremasto vendar pa ni najbolj pigmentirano oziroma barva sama je takšna, da mogoče ne deluje najbolj pigmentirano. Nanaša in blenda se lepo. Tudi zlati odsev je lepo viden. Meni osebno barva ni najbolj všeč in zato sem tudi senčilo uporabila le dvakrat do sedaj. Uporabila sem ga že cez celo veko in v notranjem kotičku očesa. To je verjetno tudi edino senčilo od Makeup Geek-a, ki mi do sedaj ni bilo všeč.

Makeup Geek claims that Rebel is a deep dusty purple with a gold overlay and a shimmery finish. Let’s say that I agree with everything except with the “deep” part. 🙂 The eyeshadow is creamy but not very pigmented or the color itself is such that it doesn’t look pigmented. It applies and blends nicely. The gold reflect is also nicely seen. I myself don’t like the color very much and that’s also why I used the eyeshadow only twice until now. I used it all over the eyelid as well as only in the inner corner of the eye. This is also the only eyeshadow from Makeup Geek that I don’t like so far.

Toxic je senčilo, ki mi je veliko bolj všeč. Makeup Geek trdi, da je Toxic globoko melancana vijolično senčilo z shimmer finišem. Toxic mi deluje podobno kot Rebel in sicer izgleda mi kot temno vijolična podlaga s toplim podtonom in globoko vijoličnim odsevom. Senčilo je ravno prav mehko, se ne drobi in se lepo blenda. Jaz ga velikokrat uporabim na sredini veke za poživitev kakšne druge mat vijolične senčke. Meni je senčilo zelo všeč in ga priporočam.

Toxic is an eyeshadow that I like much more. Makeup Geek claims that it’s a deep eggplant purple with a shimmery finish. Toxic is similar to Rebel in a way that it looks like a deep purple base with a warm undertone and a deep purple reflect. The eyeshadow is soft enough, doesn’t crumble and blends nicely. I often use it on the center of the eyelid over a purple eyeshadow to pick it up a bit. I really like the eyeshadow and I recommend it.

OGX: Coconut Water weightless hydration oil

Ponavadi, ko kupim kakšen izdelek impulzivno, nimam sreče in izdelek v veliki večini ni dober. Sedaj pa sem že parkrat imela srečo in nazadnje, ko sem bila v drogeriji (takrat sem tudi kupila L.O.V glos, ki je trenutno moj najljubši – ocena tukaj) sem slučajno zagledala tole. Ker rada poskrbim za svoje lase in ker mi kokos zelo lepo diši, kokosovo olje pa je dobro za lase, sem se odločila poskusiti.

Usually when I buy a product impulsively I don’t have luck with it and it’s usually not good. But lately I’ve been having luck and the last time I visited the drugstore (that’s also when I bought the L.O.V gloss, that is currently my favorite – review here) I accidentally saw this. Because I like to take care of my hair and because I like the scent of coconut, coconut oil is also good for your hair, I decided to try it out.

Kokosova voda je pakirana v prozorno plastično embalažo s špricalko. Všeč mi je, da je prozorna, da vidim koliko produkta še imam. Špricalka je zelo dobra saj prši izredno fino in tako lepo prekrije lase. Sama kokosova voda je brezbarvna in seveda diši po kokosu. Sam vonj je precej umeten in močan, tako da če vam kokos ne diši, vam tole odsvetujem. Vonj se radiši po par urah, jaz ga drugi dan več sploh ne zaznam. Ker voda vsebuje kokosovo olje deluje kot suho olje, saj se hitro vpije, pusti pa lep lesk na laseh.

The coconut water is packaged in a transparent plastic packaging with a spray. I like that it’s transparent so I can see how much product I have left. The spray works really well because it sprays the water very fine and it coats the hair nicely. The coconut water is colorless and of course it smells like coconut. The scent itself is pretty artificial and strong so if you don’t like the scent of coconut I don’t recommend this to you. The scent fades after a few hours, I don’t smell it the next day at all. Since the water contains coconut oil it acts like dry oil because it absorbs quickly but leaves a nice shine on the hair.

Organix trdi, da bi naj voda vaše lase navlažila in jim dala lesk s pomočjo kokosove vode, elektrolitov in kančkom kokosovega olja. Kokosova voda in olje sta nekje na sredini med sestavinami kar ni tako slabo. Sama lase umijem, jih posušim malenkost v brisači in po tem, ko jih razčešem jih pošpricam s produktom. Produkt nanesem le na konice oziroma na spodnji del las in lase nato spet razčešem, da ga še bolje razporedim po laseh.

Organix claims that the water is supposed to hydrate the hair and give it shine with the help of coconut water, electrolytes and a hint of coconut oil. The coconut water and oil are somewhere in the middle of the ingredients which is not bad at all. I wash my hair, towel dry it and after combing it I spray the hair with the product. I apply the product on my hair ends only and then comb my hair again to spread it even better.

Ker so moje konice izredno suhe in uničene in tudi izgledajo suhe ter so brez leska, lahko rečem, da tale produkt res naredi moje lase, konice, sijoče in zdrave pri tem pa las ne obteži ali jih naredi mastne. Lasje so sijoči do naslednjega umivanja. Jaz sem s produktom zadovoljna in predvidevam, da ga bom še kupila. Kupila sem ga v Mullerju in za  118ml sem odštela zanj okoli 7€.

Because my hair ends are extremely dry and damaged and they also look really dry and dull I can say that this product does make my hair, my hair ends, shiny and healthy without weighing my hair or making it greasy. The hair stays shiny until the next wash. I’m happy with the product and I assume that I’ll buy it again. I bought it in Muller and paid around 7€ for 118ml.

L.O.V cosmetics: Caring Volume Gloss – Mystic Sand

Odkar imam dovolj dolge lase, da jih lahko spnem v čop, se spet navdušujem nad lip glossi. Čeprav me ob prvem obisku L.O.V stojala v Mullerju ni navdušilo nič, pa sem si drugič vzela malo več časa in tako tudi našla tale skriti dragulj. L.O.V bi naj bila bolj elegantna sestra Essence in Catrice kozmetike, če ne drugače pa definitivno po izgledu oziroma embalaži.

Since my hair is long enough so I can tie it in a ponytail I’m becoming more and more enthusiastic about lip glosses again. Although the first time I visited the L.O.V stand in Muller nothing really impressed me, I took a bit more time on the second visit and that’s how I found this hidden jewel. L.O.V is supposed to be the more elegant sister of Essence and Catrice cosmetics if not otherwise then definitely in appearance or packaging.

Embalaža je oglata a zaobljena prozorna tuba s tipičnim aplikatorjem  z gobico. Gobica zajame dovolj produkta za cele ustnice in ga tudi lepo razmaže. L.O.V trdi, da daje glos eleganten sijoč finiš in nežno nego v enem s pomočjo Tsubaki olja in vitamina E. Mystic Sand odtenek je rjavkasto  kožne (nude) barve z dodatki rožnate. Ker se zadnje čase navdušujem nad takimi odtenki, je tale bil kot naročen. Je precej pigmentiran, tako da moje ustnice popolnoma prekrije. Je nežnega vonja, ki ga na ustnicah ne zaznam.

The packaging is an angular rounded transparent tube with a typical doe-foot applicator. The sponge captures enough product for the whole lips and also smears is easily. L.O.V states that the gloss gives an elegant shiny finish and gentle care in one with the help of Tsubaki oil and vitamin E. Mystic Sand shade is a brown nude color with hints of rose. Because lately I’ve been really into these kind of shades this one was on cue. It’s pretty pigmented so it covers my lips completely. It has a subtle smell that I can’t smell once on the lips.

Glos je  kremast, izredno udoben in lahek na ustnicah, kar je najbolj pomembno pa je to, da ni lepljiv. Daje izredno lep lesk ustnicam, ki izgledajo skoraj mokre. Ker ni lepljiv seveda tudi ni dolgo obstojen. Na meni je zdržal dobro uro, uro pa pol, v primeru da nisem jedla. Zelo rada ga kombiniram z Essence Longlasting barvico za ustnice v odtenku 05 Lovely Frappuccino. Ustnic mi ne izsuši, ampak jih celo navlaži malenkost.

The gloss is creamy, really comfortable and light on the lips and most importantly it’s not sticky. It gives the lips an extremely beautiful shine that looks almost wet. Because it’s not sticky it of course isn’t long-lasting. It lasted about an good hours, hour and a half on me in case I didn’t eat. I love to combine it with the Essence Longlasting lip liner in the shade 05 Lovely Frappuccino. It doesn’t dry out my lips but it even slightly moisturizes them.

Jaz sem nad glosom in nad odtenkom navdušena, že planiram nakup še kakšnega. L.O.V lahko kupite v večini Mullerjev po Sloveniji, zanj pa boste odšteli 5,99€ kar se mi zdi zelo ugodno za tako kvaliteten glos. Ali so kakšni drugi izdelki od njih, ki mi jih priporočate?

I am extremely impressed by the gloss and the shade and I’m already planning to buy some more. You can buy L.O.V in most Mullers in Slovenia and you’ll pay 5,99€ for it which is a great price for a gloss this great in quality. Are there any other products from them that you recommend?

H&M: Dry Conditioner

Tale H&M suhi balzam za lase se mi je zdel izredno zanimiv in sem se odločila, da ga bom preizkusila. Suhi balzam je v pločevinki na sprej, kot lak za lase ali suhi šampon. Vsebuje 250ml. Embalaža je modra, pisana, z belimi robom zgoraj in napisom v bež kvadratu. Meni je všeč.

This H&M dry conditioner seemed very interesting so I decided to try it out. The dry conditioner comes in a spray can, just like a hair spray or dry shampoo. It contains 250ml. The packaging is blue, colorful, with a white edge above and inscription in a beige square. I like it.

Čeprav na navodilih piše, da je za uporabo za osvežitev las med pranji, sem ga le enkrat uporabila na tak način. Nanesli bi ga naj na spodnjo polovico las. H&M prav tako trdi, da balzam vsebuje arganovo olje ter ekstrakt avokada za sijoče in svileno gladke lase. Pred uporabo ga je potrebno dobro pretresti.

Although the instructions say to use it to  refresh the hair between washing, I used it only once that way. You are supposed to apply it on the lower half of the hair. H&M also states that the conditioner contains argan oil and avocado extract for shiny and silky smooth hair. Shake well before use.

Sprej je brezbarven in diši lepo sveže. Mene vonj spominja na papajo, vendar sem zelo slaba pri opisovanju vonjev. 😀 Jaz sem ga prvič uporabila na sveže umitih laseh in balzam je dal lasem lep sijaj in lepo jih je odišavil, ampak lasje so bili tako ali tako umiti. Potem sem pa en dan uporabila suhi šampon in lasje so ponavadi po uporabi suhega šampona mat, torej brez tistega zdravega sijaja in včasih, če nanesem preveč suhega šampona, tudi rahlo sivkasti. In takrat sem se odločila nanesti direktno na lasišče še suhi balzam in zadeva je delovala. Lasje so izgledali  sveže umiti, sijoči.

The spray is colorless and smells fresh. The scent reminds me of papaya, but I’m very bad at describing scents. 😀 The first time I used it was on freshly washed hair and the conditioner gave the hair a nice shine and fresh scent, but the hair was washed anyway. Then one day I used my dry shampoo and the hair is usually matte, without the healthy shine, after using it and sometimes if I apply too much it also turns a bit greyish. In that moment I decided to use my dry conditioner directly on the scalp and it worked. The hair looked freshly washed, shiny.

Od takrat naprej ga uporabljam vedno v kombinaciji s suhim šamponom, saj lasje po uporabi obeh niso mastni, so pa še vedno sijoči. Jaz si več ne predstavljam uporabe suhega šampona brez tega suhega balzama. Prav tako se mi zdi, da ga je skoraj nemogoče nanesti preveč, jaz ga nanašam po občutku.

From then on I always use it in combination with the dry shampoo, because the hair isn’t greasy, but it’s still shiny after using them both. I can’t imagine using the dry shampoo without this dry conditioner anymore. Also, it seems to me, that it’s almost impossible to apply too much, I apply it by feeling.

Lush: Cup O’coffee

Kje naj začnem? Mogoče pri tem, da je ta maska zamenjala mojo najljubšo svežo masko od Lusha in sicer Brazened Honey, ki je bila z mano in ob meni zadnjih 8 let? Ali naj začnem pri tem, da se je to zgodilo že po prvi uporabi? Ali pa, da sem popolnoma zaljubljena in predana samo še tej maski? Vseeno je kje bom začela, saj je vse to res. 🙂 Na kratko sem jo omenila tudi v moji negi obraza, katero najdete tukaj.

Where do I start? Maybe at the fact that this mask substituted my favorite fresh face mask from Lush, Brazened Honey, which was with me and by me for the last 8 years? Or should I start at the fact, that this happened after the first time I used it? Or maybe that I’m totally in love and dedicated to this mask only? It doesn’t matter where I start, because everything is true. 🙂 I did shortly mention it in my skincare routine post, that you can find here.

Lush spremljam tedensko in takrat tudi preverim novosti. Takoj, ko sem zagledala to masko na spletni strani, se mi je zdela zanimiva, saj imam zelo rada kavo. Ob naslednjem obisku  trgovine sem jo morala samo povohati in šla je z menoj. Maska namreč diši kot prava turška kava z žličko sladkorja. Če vam kava ne diši, potem predlagam, da se maski izognete. Maska je temno rjave barve z mletimi kavnimi zrni, ki so idealni za piling. Je precej gosta in malenkost lepljiva.

I check the Lush site weekly for any new products. As soon as I saw this mask on the website it seemed very interesting, because I really like coffee. I just had to smell it, the next time I visited the shop, and I bought it. The mask smells like true Turkish coffee with a tea spoon of sugar. If you don’t like the smell of coffee, I advise you avoid it. The mask is dark brown with ground coffee beans which are ideal for exfoliation. It is pretty thick and a bit tacky.

Nanesem jo na cel obraz, izognem se le predelu pod očmi. Čeprav me ponavadi moti, če se maska ne posuši na mojem obrazu, me pri tej maski to niti najmanj ne moti. Maska se torej ne posuši, ker je gosta pa tudi ne polzi po obrazu, ampak ostane na svojem mestu. Po 15 – 20 minutah začnem z vlažno dlanjo masko odstranjevati in s tem naredim še piling. Zrna so dovolj velika in ravno prav “groba”, da učinkovito opravijo svoje delo. Jaz imam rada bolj grobe pilinge, zato z roko kar precej močno pritisnem ob kožo, da je piling učinek še večji. Če ne marate grobih pilingov pa lahko le narahlo pritisnete ob kožo in tako umijete masko z obraza. Umivalnik je potrebno na koncu umiti, saj se mleta kavna zrna rada naberejo na dnu umivalnika. Vonj se na koži obdrži kar dolgo časa, 3-4 ure približno.

I apply it to the whole face and avoid only the eye area. Although it usually bothers me if the mask doesn’t dry on my face, I really don’t mind with this one. So the mask doesn’t dry, but because it’s really thick it doesn’t slide around the face, it stays where you apply it. After 15 – 20 minutes I start to remove it with a moist palm and I exfoliate while doing so. The grains are big enough and “rough” enough to effectively do their job. I do like more rough exfoliators so I press pretty hard with my palm against my skin, so the exfoliating effect is bigger. If you don’t like rough exfoliators you can press slightly against the skin and wash the mask of the face that way. You do need to wash the washbasin at the end, because the grained coffee beans do tend to gather on the bottom of the washbasin. The scent stays on the skin for quite some time, approximately 3-4 hours.

Koža je po uporabi mehka, navlažena, nahranjena in sijoča, tako da ponavadi nanesem samo kremo za oči, ostalo pa preskočim ali pa grem čez z losjonom. Jaz sem mojo masko porabila v dobrem mesecu, ena majhna embalaža mi je dovolj za 5-6 krat. Druga me že čaka in veselim se dneva, ko jo bom spet uporabila. Za manjšo masko (100g) boste odšteli 10,50€, za večjo (250g) pa 16,95€.

The skin is really soft, moisturized, nourished and shiny so I usually apply eye cream only and skip the rest or go with a lotion all over. I used my mask in about a month, one small packaging is enough for 5-6 times. The second one is already waiting for me and I look forward to the day that I use it again. You will pay 10,50€ for the smaller mask (100g) and 16,95€ for the bigger one (250g).
